Congratulations. In January of 2011 I was laying on my back in the ER. RIght before we went to the cardiac cath lab he asked me when I quit smoking. I answered "Today?" I backslid later that year and had to quit all over again on Jan 1st. It's still difficult to be at a party and see people enjoying a smoke. I guess I'll want one for the rest of my life. After Sandy delayed his departure for a few days we managed to get him to the Cleveland MEPS. Got a brief call last night to let me know he had made it to Great Lakes Naval Boot camp http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ Won't hear from him for 3 weeks and then it will only be letters. 8 weeks at Great Lakes, then it's 2 years at Nuke Power School in SC http://www.militarynewcomers.com/nwscharleston/resources/08_tenant.html I wasn't prepared for the array of feelings today. I don't think batteries 'lose' a charge. I think there has to be some sort of draw. On our boat we leave the batteries in year round but we have a switch that isolates them from the rest of the boat when we're not there. Going on 5 seasons with the same set.
