I know. I'm having trouble expressing myself. If you don't like their lifestyle - thats fine, don't go there. But they are entirely free to spend their money in whatever restaurant they choose - doesn't make them over-privileged, or douchebags. It just makes them successful and well-off. (Not even that well off - not THAT many of the employees of those big tech firms actually qualify for 1% status.) They are all probably paying quite a lot of tax on their money as well - CA has pretty high tax rates doesn't it? If I were you I'd maybe be having a go at people living comfortably on welfare, I don't know - in the hills of Georgia for example. I guess that's the idea. I was sitting in the SFO airport yesterday reading my newspaper. I can't find the article but the numbers were upsetting. Of the $314 billion dollars in government subsidies last year the top 1% got more than the bottom 80% combined. I spent a week living amongst over privileged douchebags. I know you don't see it. Possibly because you're already in the forest. I'm concerned that the people who reap the benefits of what is going on in these areas don't fully appreciate the opportunities given to them. They think they are solely responsible for their success. I can remember when BHO said basically the same thing and I thought it was bullshit. Now I'm not so sure. People who work in Silicon Valley at these firms don't need free transportation. People who can buy $100K Teslas don't need a tax break. We don't need cars that drive themselves.
