What enforcement agency is in charge of ensuring compliance to those standards? Can you show me the area where the weight requirement is stated? On the gear? You mean this gear that the plaintiff purchased from the manufacturer? Why would the manufacturer sell my client this gear if he was unfit to operate it safely? You don't even need a lawyer to file a civil rights charge. It would automatically go to mediation at what point your insurance company (if you have one) might decide it's cheaper to settle. All it really takes is someone who feels badly about the way you handled them in comparison to others and a bored attorney and voila...a discrimination suit is born.     I agree but there is a much more difficult problem here; Kallend and others have painted the LEO community with a broad brush as have most if not all of the black community. I believe the opposite is true. There are far more honest and caring officers than the few who have unjustly murdered blacks. Now, every interaction between white officers and black civilians will be suspect. I wouldn't be a white cop today no matter how much money was offered. Please don't dent the planet.
