My reflex has a BOC PC pouch made from cordura. It's extremely durable and much nicer looking than spandex IMO. Lot of times I see spandex pouches that are kinda loosing their tightness. I dont understand why other manufacurers do not do this. Do Mirage/VSE/RWS/SR allow that as a (custom) option at all? http://dropman.com

OK good. I just got a response today, after I asked 2CO to ask them to email me, but i don't know if it was because of that. Anyway, theyare on track, I'm excited. Blue Skies http://dropman.com

Hi, I placed an order for a kurupee suit about a week ago, and I haven't received any kind of confirmation email except an automated one from their checkout provider 2co.com . Also I cannot get a hold of them thru their phone # (in paraguay). Anyone have any problems like this? Should I just wait for the suit to show up (weeks...) ? http://dropman.com

Does you DZ have internet access?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Right on. yeah i suspect lagrer DZ's to have access, but I want this stuff to be availabe for eveyone, so if many smaller dz's dont ahve inet access, then I will have to rethink the implementation. http://dropman.com -
Does you DZ have internet access?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It would all be port 80, so no special setup required. If there is inet access then my program would run. It would be like logging into hotmail or something, except it would do a heck of a lot more than manage email. http://dropman.com -
Does you DZ have internet access?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hi, I'm writing some new DZ software (search for a previous post of mine), and I need to know if this can be web-based. That allows me to make it look nice and develop quicker, but it wont run on computers without intenet access, at least not without quite bit of configuration (local webserver and database server). So, do you know if you DZ has inet access? Only the office would be fine too, since that is where you would use this. http://dropman.com -
Just had an idea, side by side left/right line stows
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Gear and Rigging
What if you stowed the left and right lines sepreately (see pic), this would completely prevent the bag from tumbling and privide on heading openings (maybe. haven't tried it :)) thoughts? http://dropman.com -
Do you open and repack your rig off-dz?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Gear and Rigging
I do sometimes just so that I feel like I'm doing something related to skydiving. 5 days is soooo long. http://dropman.com -

Do you have to wear a jumpsuit
skydivingdutch replied to jump_or_die's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well, I have been trying to get my sit down, and it really f*cking sucks without a jumpsuit. My pant legs come up over my knees, my shirt comes up over my face, flaps around. This causes all kinds of weird drag in some direction, screwing up my position. Im gonna get me a Kurupee suit soon. http://dropman.com -
Mine is like that, I have a reflex container Edit: altho im not sure it has the original risers http://dropman.com

Hehe yeah i saw that/ http://dropman.com

transistion sabre -> katana ok?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Gear and Rigging
Did you read my posts? I said that I wasnt planning on downsizing right away, I am most certainly not bored with my sabre right now. The question was that when I am bored, like 300 or more jumps, would such a transition be ok? http://dropman.com -
Thats the reseve I have, but I havent had to use it yet :) Hope I never will. http://dropman.com

transistion sabre -> katana ok?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Gear and Rigging
OK ok, I know the stiletto/xf2 are high performace but it was my understanding that katana was a step above. Anyway, i was just trying to get a feel for what the differnt canopies are like. I am NOT planing on downsizing or switching anytime soon. seriously, I am smart enought to know this. There are ppl I know who jump elipticals when they probably shouldnt , just because they like to make SLAMMs, (so far all turned out ok). More of a 'for future reference' question. I guess I will demo jump a few different canopies when the time comes (multiple hundreds of jumps) http://dropman.com -
Doesnt look like it's there. http://dropman.com

transistion sabre -> katana ok?
skydivingdutch replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Gear and Rigging
Hello, I want to buy a new rig/main combo sometime later (that is, not now). Currently on a sabre 135. I plan to play with the canopy for quite a while yet, I still havent touched my front risers. Anyway, when the time comes, would it be wise to transition to a katana of similar size? or would an intermediary canopy be advised (e.g. stilleto/xf2)? http://dropman.com -
Why not? its cool! I had nothing to do in the summer and was sitting on enough $$, so I decided to get into it. I knew i would love it, I started with the intention to get certified. Same thing with SCUBA, if I'm gonna get into somethimg its all the way. I do want to be an instructor someday http://dropman.com

Just wondering what the difference was, how they compare. No I'm not planning on buying one anytime soon, just want to get a feel for what's out there. http://dropman.com
