What tha??? A freakin Suit? Somebody either died or got married, same thing. ~AirAnn~

Is a lover a honest nice person and killer in bed. Wait, not killer in bed, then that would tend to be a fighter. Just slightly above awesome in bed. Yeah, thats it. A lover. I never fight with anyone, really. The last time I ""fought"" was when this lame boyfriend yelled at Skeet. I almost slit his thorat. Oopsie, I sure did not know I had that in me. I just calmly said "Leave your key on the bar". And I took Skeet for a walk and that was it. I guess regarding some topics I am over the top a little skcraper. You can say what you want about me and my mother... but there is this one little line Id appreciate it if persons dont cross. You just dont mess with mother nature over here. ~AirAnn~

And another thing... I appreciate your full blown honesty. Dude, everyone thinks I am an ass. You are not alone!!! Matter of fact I bet I am a bigger ass than you. ....... (well, I hope you have a super tiny ass). You just dont look back so much in real life. Go forward my son, straight thru the fog. What you have done and and what I have done has made us both better skydivers/people. We just keep learning from the good and the bad. Human beings work that way. Moths, that is another deal, flamewars and they are history. Since I believe you are not writing this via prison for being a mass murder, its all good. ~AirAnn~

Interesting you should say this. I recently sent a thank you note to a DZO, his wife and included his two awesome sons as well. There are so many to thank, you know? I stand in shock and awe at so many that helped me. A gentleman who rules this town and heads a RW team that rakes in the awards, speaks to me. I always feel great about it. (I feel like I should be kissing his feet) He offered me his gloves once so I could hold onto the bar better. (I have crummy wrists) Upon landing I skidded in thru mud. His white gloves were not white anymore. I was scared, I ran around trying to work out the mud stains. I couldnt do it. Mr Jack just smiled and laughed. He mentioned that the point was- if the gloves helped. You know more than you think. You are cutting yourself short my friend. Anything you can say to any upcoming jumper is a really good thing. Continue to do so please. Even if you acknowledge their presence is so much a wonderful thing to the new jumper. Sometimes newbies wonder if they will ever get 1000 jumps and therefore be qualified to speak to people. Just saying. Hello, how is it going, is a real boost to a person coming up. If they do not smile, then they dont understand the brotherhood end of skydiving yet. Try again. Students with 10 jumps can speak to another student with 3. In my opinion. ~AirAnn~

I dont think you have to worry, Darlin. Out my window it says go back to bed. ~AirAnn~

Oh! Crap, Canopy Ride.... I just realized am an idiot ... again. I am sorry, but I already wrote this stupid thing. My longest skydive was jump number 14 or 15. I jumped with this certain teacher person and it was horrible. Zero dive plan. Finally when I questioned and questioned. The dive plan he told me to do (decided on at or about green lite in frustration), was do flips all the way down. The 58 seconds or so felt like 58 years. I refer to the skydive as the skydive that would never end. You can see in the tape me constantly checking alt. It was horrible except for the accidental first head down. I actually do have my longest canopy ride, filmed by me, and it will be for review on my website up very soon. It is not boring, it is action packed alright. All the way to the incredible 'landing'. ~AirAnn~

Oh please do not apologize. You Skymama, are doing a fine job and not to feel sorry about. In addition you inject some pertinent dialogue and humorous notes that gives me the idea you actually read and comprehend the entire post. I like Quade too and that Billon dude, HooknSwoop or whatever his name is, and some others. *Note that I do not know of this deleted thread mentioned here in this thread. I feel like there is a time whereby some threads need to be removed for various reasons. In some instances a warning a posted is great to remind us of posts approaching the line of the rule breaking. ~AirAnn~

Gem- Jessica and Phree have had the pleasure of jumping SLand. That is where they absolutely wanted to go. A very cool dz, no question about it. Trent and Phree had intelligent conversations, from what I could interpret.

Sorry this is so long and I hope it makes sense. I do not believe that this 15 minutes was about me as AirAnn, (a nickname given to me after I insisted on naming an Otter AirAnn), but about AirAnn.com. AirAnn is a person who is falable, AirAnn.com is more of a community service. The idea was born in mid 2000 and a short article about AirAnn.com appeared Jan 2001 or 2002, I cant remember. The Parachtist article was about my quest to encourage and further Womens Skydiving. It spotlighed the program for women to get a free tandem. A charity thing. AirAnn.com is pending non profit status. Up to now I have in lieu of personal jumps have given this award away. (jump, video & pictures) Cliff Notes- 17 yr old girl was nominated for the First Fresh Air Award. She lived in a church home until the birth of her baby, child was given up for adoption, she studied during her stay and was accepted in to an East cost College. 3 months after the birth and at 18 she did the tandem. Her words in the article about her experience are outstanding. Many people got goosebumps after reading it. This jump was the first one and since then I havent had nominations due to the fact my site has not been redone. I declined in having my picture with the article. I feel like its not about AirAnn.com at all, but about the jumper. AirAnn.com is currently under construction and 80% finished. The site also spotlights several skydivers who have done extrordinary things and despite odds skydive. It is very interesting and inspiring. Very cool reading. The skydiver network included is for to have skydivers a place to list their businesses or skills for other skydivers to review and hire. Example: plumbers, handy men, private pilots, persons who teach flying, computer programmers, website developers, accountants, landscapers, real estate persons and Insurance sales persons. In addition the network will be a place for skydivers to list their information regarding people needed for jobs. In other words hire a skydiver for work you need done. A person can have an email account @ airann.com, and can login themselves. A person can use a form there to contact me, submit details about their business, or whateverthey would like say, pro or con. In the past almost all emails sent to Ask AirAnn.com were from women and men students and low numbered jumpers. I answered every one of them. The most amazing thing is the emails were nearly 95% questions they felt like they couldnt ask anyone else, for fear of looking stupid or dumb. Incredible isnt it? The AirAnn.com mentor program pairs experienced jumpers with students/low numbered jumpers at their dropzone no matter where it is. This has worked very well and past my expectations by far. Skydivers are overwhelmingly ready to help. Students either dont know who to ask or fear approaching an experienced jumper. I bridge the gap. These things were mentioned in the just below 1/2 page in the magazine. BTW--They did NOT name the plane AirAnn Poot!! I still think that was an error. ~AirAnn~

Serious question about helping someone maybe suicidal
airann replied to wmw999's topic in The Bonfire
As some of you here, I also know a ton about this. I have to add to this post that the first thing to do is to find or get in touch with his family or other friends. You are basically done with this person. I know you dont want him to go through with this, but you also can not help him with his issues. Even if you wanted to. It can be that in addition to his lonely depression, he may have a addictive personality. You can be addicted to persons, the sympathy, and/or attention they give. He sounds BiPolar to me, as he may contact you on the depression side of the disease. Other people may be rather tired of it as well. Yet it is not for us or anyone to decide what his deal is. Now, there is only one answer. Get the Dude some help in a way that cuts you out. I am hearing that is what you want most. And you are no longer part of his life. If you know the family, get them involved. And the crisis hotline needs his phone number - give it to them. If they think, and they will, there is trouble they have many ways of dealing with it including the authorities or arranging the pick up and transfer to a hospital. In Houston, -
Sir Sean Connary, then and NOW. I respect him for being married to the same lady forever. Nobody can stand me for very long. Even tho I am very awesome.

AHH HA!!!! There you are!! I am still in psychiatric care over what WRECK DOT did for me. Frumpt... What is your ALF number? Flames are badddd, Ummm Kay. I will get you my pretty, and your little dog TOO. Okay, not the little dog Todo, but still. About the moderators.... .... Welp, my main thing on this topic is not the number of persons who practice Moderation. I believe they have pertinent input and do tastefully steer dialogue into better directions in almost all instances. Yet, I can see some non action as well, at times. Therefore, I dont resist any change in this arena. I think moderators are human beings and cant be every where at once. I know damn well I cant read every post time for it to deteriorate to a slamfest. This can be observed by a poster by leaving the forum, then dialing in again and see the number of posts since you last faced the login screen. Also, tone of voice in a message board is nearly impossible to determine whether or not the written word is sarcasim, just in fun, or a down right bloody mess. It could be, that a moderator reading every post by every one, can in fact know that a specific person isnt slamming, just inserting comments for whatever the above reason might be. ie. Having read so much of any one persons posts may clue a moderator in to 'knowing' the flavor of the posters wording. In summation, I think the majority of these moderators do a damn good job. If in some instances if something slips by and it gets kinda rough, its still better than getting the red ass over at wreck. Thank goodness I have friends over there who sheild some flames off my ass. Yet, I get a little blackend red ass at times both places. Here on dz.com there is some fairness. ~AirAnn~

Thats Dad Jackson for ya. I have had the great opportunity for Dad to be a guest here at the house. He is quite the interesting guy and I dont doubt for a minute that the biopsy via the back (between a rib?) hurt like hell. He wont say so. (Zylocaine is a local anesthetic, administered just below the skin.) He is very proud of Levin. Indeed he has good reason. When Dad did the downplane at the AOT boogie that Levin organized, I heard he wouldnt quit talking about it for a long while. At the time he could be heard hollering something but I cant remember what, but what ever it was, it indicated coolness. I can only just laugh about that one. I can hear him saying that, for sure. He means it, but at the same time laughter is the best medicine. I can see a lot of Levin in his Dad, or a lot of Dad in Levin. I see where Levin gets his manners. The same thing goes for Ryan, Levins brother. Every member of the family who have stayed here at the house, never fail thank me for the 'hospitality'. Thanks both when going out the door, and a back up response later to be sure I know they appreciate it. Sometimes in the fast paced lives we have, its easy to just let this detail slip on by. Not the Jackson family, they are like fresh air. That my friends is an East Texas accent. And I dont doubt for a second he means it. Edited to include what Levin looks like clowing around. When I first downloaded this shot I was thrilled at the great picture of Levin smiling big. Then I looked again, and it made the picture even more great. Levin the Little Shyt. ~AirAnn~

Dang, Congratulations on all your experiences. I have no sense of time, seriously. I had no idea CF's was done already. I almost missed my Mothers birthday. Then Flea was in the hospital ... 3 days and what holiday was it? I guess I missed that one. Anyway, here here to the beer! Some time ago ~AirAnn~

What was your most embarrassing High School/College moment?
airann replied to MochaSkyChick's topic in The Bonfire
I was a huge loner surfer, and skateboarder in college. I did get 2 tickets for skating the street and a surfing trophy during those years. I skated everywhere at the college. Hello, there wasnt any way you coudnt hear me coming... frup, frup, frup over the cracks in the sidewalk. Everyone moved. Until, I was cruzin the sidewalk to the Biology building -my fav slope- and this stupid girl wouldnt move... so I am like " I am ON your RIGHT" so the genius moves to her right. I was going kinda fast, so I tried a right slide to avoid her. That didnt work out so to avoid breaking her tib/fib ankle, I had to bail. I slid and then kicked the tail. I had to run it out down a hill and damn near did a face plant. I picked up my ride, books and was about back up the slope and this mensa girl says "Ann??" " Is That YOU?"" I was pissed, That was the first time I had to bail on that slope. I look up and its one of those damn cheerleader types from high school who wasnt about to speak to a freak like me, and now with her mall sistahs in tow, squealing. Her comments were, Wow, I heard there was a GIRL who skated everywhere I certainly never thought it was YOU. Then I got the freak look, up and own, with her eyes rolling back. I think she thought I just wiped out, not the hero move I did so she wouldnt die. It was embarrassing but at the same time I did get to skate away from them as fast as I could and I never saw her again. Other wise I would have run. ~AirAnn~ -
Same thing happened when Pink licked the face of one of her dancers. ~AirAnn~

I do not have a middle name. (I am the only girl in my family) My oldest Aunt did not have a middle name either. When we got married Jamison would be our middle name. The rational is that the Jamison name be forwared thru the generations. If I would have been able to have kids they were to have the first name of Jamison. I was married and it was Ann Jamison LaRue. Now its back to Ann Jamison. I believe just after high school, the govmt had a problem with the no middle name issue. So they started putting NMI there. No Middle Initial. Now its just back to AJ. ~AirAnn~

How wonderful you and Trigger are. Absolutely awesome. I am just thrilled at this. Thank you for those thoughts on behalf of someone out there. JT -I almost bought an Alpha from a New Mexico person I met here in Texas a few years back. The lines were somewhat beige. I was advised against it due to the sand issue. ~AirAnn~
