I won't cross. If I'm not happy with prices after the strike, I'll go somewhere else, just like I do now. I agree that the strikers don't have the consumer at heart, and neither does management, it's about money...pure and simple. Management want's to keep as much as it can, the workers want to get as much as they can. The consumer isn't, nor will it ever, be a talking point in a negotiation. There's a strike becuase negtiations collapsed for whatever reasons. The business and the workers are all losing money and it's an ugly stressful time for all involved. Skydiving isn't scary;...but clowns...CLOWNS are scary!

Ya know when you think that you can make the last load of the day...and then you get there, jump out of the car and you find out someone already grabbed the last slot.....do you think I look a little too miffed about it in this pic??? as I remember it...it only takes something like 8-10 PSI to break a skull. Either way, if i get tinked with a spent round falling from the sky, the motherf***** that fired it better be able to outrun one moving horizontally... Skydiving isn't scary;...but clowns...CLOWNS are scary!

Any advice on consistent flares for my Triathlon (a 7 cell canopy) ? Seems like on windy days I stand it up no sweat...on the occasional light air days....not so much.... Skydiving isn't scary;...but clowns...CLOWNS are scary!

Vibes to ya bro...been there...believe me, you'll love it. Everyone at an open mic knows the deal...people are there getting their chops down....this isn't a crowd that paid $50 a seat. Everyone appreciates the efforts of everyone else...just groove with it... of course, I play bass, so i don't really care about you 6 string prima donnas anyway.. HEY, he's not a valet, he's a manservant and yes, it's my job to sit in the passenger seat and scream like a twelve year old girl when my chauffer tries to pretend the cars in the streets are his personal slalom course with a 20 ton firetruck.. I agree.....comparing skydiving to driving or scuba diving or anyhting else on an equal basis just can't be done. The only thing that is comparable is that in a vast majority of cases, serious injury or death in any activity is usually due to a human error. We combat that with education whether it be driving or jumping or using a tablesaw. Although, I did just read a warning in the instructions for a new digital camera telling the user to be careful not to poke themselves in the eye if looking through the viewfinder while pressing the function button...THAT's gotta make you wonder... Skydiving isn't scary;...but clowns...CLOWNS are scary!

my 2 cents: I'm a professional firefighter. I'm also a Rescue Specialist for a federal agency that deals with terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. I ride a motorcycle and I scuba dive. Although many think that I'm a risk taker, and that may be true to an extent, i feel that I do things that may have some risk, but those risks are tamed by being educated at what I do. I'm more comfortable working with live nerve agent than I am riding my motorcycle in traffic. I'm also far safer making a jump than doing either of those two things. This sport is based on education and equipment redundancy. The risk is relative to the actions of the individual. Now, can somebody please get me a guinness and a shot of jamesons so I can ride my motorcycle to the DZ and make a jump while mixing up some nerve agent before I hook turn at 20 feet please???? Skydiving isn't scary;...but clowns...CLOWNS are scary!
