The BIG FLOCK in Eloy is a very real possibility. Some serious input from all you experienced flockers is not only welcome, but requested and respected.. Lets plan ahead, and be squared away with the DZ regards, flight plan, breakoff, landing, etc., etc.,...... BB is at nationals this week, so I'll not bother her yet, but get your questions and answeres in order for the big game plan. I'm getting horny thinking about 60 + birdmen and birdgirls in the air. SAFETEY FIRST. BALLS OUT FUN!

You are all correct. This is virgin territory. Lets do it right! The school at az that bb is building may be the proving ground. Your help and expertise is welcome.

Someone suggested a plane full of wingsuits in eloy at the holiday boogie. Lets think BIG! How about a formation load. Three otters full of birdmen and birdwomen ( who must be naked underneath their suits, just because). And we'll need altitude, (another because for the birdgirls to be naked).

Any reason to get a 'b' license?
greybeard replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I've got 1100 jumps in thirteen years and only my 'A' license. It's never been a problem because all boogie and big-way requirements will state, "D lic or equivalent". My log book speaks louder than any license from USPA.. -
High-G jump plane turns, or "Am I just a wuss?"

The scariest ride of my life, many, many, years ago, I had to ride down with Mike Mullins due to a gear problem. I was plastered against the windshield in the right seat, and screamed the whole way. We touched down before I even saw any canopies open. Take a couple of observer rides, and get to know the pilots. They love to talk about their job and will help you understand how and why they do what they do. Airplanes are a part of skydiving that we should all know more about. -
I've recently been shopping for a used PD176R. Everybody that responds seems to think that they should make a profit on their 6 or 7 year old reserve. Considering the price paid 6 or 7 years ago, plus the 40 repack cycle recommended by PD, most reserves are nothing more that exspensive 'car covers' after 12 years. Why is it that everything I own is used up old shit, and whatever anybody else has is 'gold'.

You still there DBCOOPER? I like Betsy's idea of 5 point 10-way. It sounds a lot more doabe, safer and cheaper for you, if you're still offering to pay for the load, I think I can promise you a 5 point 10-way with quality smiles and , well can't promise pretty faces, (thank god for full-face helmets), but some nice butts. Hey, ya can't have everything. I'm one of those, 'not so good a face, but a nice butt'. (Warning, my butt says, "exit only" on it.)

the last time I checked, about two years ago, the cool mil was closer to 6 (six).

What is everyone talking about? There aren't any 'seats' or 'lids' on the trees and bushes I use. I hope you'al aren't talking about actually relieving yourselves inside where you eat and sleep. Now that's kinda weird, don't you think?

Safety & Training section - Looking for articles
greybeard replied to sangiro's topic in The Bonfire
you might find some interesting stuff by bryan burke at the skydiveaz.com site. left hand column listed as 'resources'. bryan 'brain' burke might have more stuff. -
Looks like I didn't read far enough down the thread before responding. You're already in touch with Betsy, smart move! If it can happen at SDA, Betsy will make it happen and make it safe. Guaranteed! I'll be looking forward to a fun big way. I shouldn't speak for the 'Airspeed' guys and gal, but to date, any or all of these guys and gal, are always willing to have fun and help out when asked. Of course 'The power of the pixie' doesn't hurt.

I'm with you dude, sounds like great fun. I'm an eloy local yokel and know all the organizers. I've jumped fifty or so 100 plus ways and know who else local has also. Your best bet would be to get with Betsy Barnhouse and or Craig Gerard of Airspeed. Betsy will do absolutley anything to keep all jumpers happy and safe, and Criag is always game for organizing special jumps for special people. See ya at 13,500. ******

Skydive Arizona Dropzone.com 2nd Annual Holiday Boogie
greybeard replied to sangiro's topic in The Bonfire
I heard that all female participants at the holiday boogie must be body cavity searched, daily. Any volunteers for this inspection? Its going to be a grueling task, but must be done. Help! Don't ask BB, she's one of the worst offenders, constantly smuggeling good feelings and secrectly stashing groovy Karma in hither places. Whenever and wherevere you are able, please frisk these nubile females for hidden treasures. God!, what a smuck. -
Notice that mostly girls are telling me how great this all is. A few guys have voiced compliance. What about the trim I've been Missing? I could hanndle some extra side slide. Course I'd have to call home and ask permision. She usualy says 'NO'. So I'm thinking, don't call home the next time. Just kidding and trying to stir up some interesting debates or debacles.

The kids are best, aren't they? Just when you think you're all grown up, you get to start life all over again thru them. You see the world thru their eyes, all new and unexplored. Having kids doesn't make me older, it reguvinates me and lets me start over.

This month my wife and I will celebrate our 28 th anniverary. We met in the seventh grade and I've never had another woman. (biblicaly). This means 34 years with my one and only. Am I a lame dude or just a damn lucky one? I missed out on alot of locker room bullshit, cause I knew better. We've raised three self sufficient individuals. (12 skydives between them). Dad only paid for the first two jumps. Any thoughts on how we ought to celebrate, or should I dump this ole ball'n'chain. ************************************** .

I didn't think the salesman was an idiot. He was just a nice guy. I thought it was his car and he didn't want it anymore. Hell, he handed me the keys. I said thank you, Jeez. I'm not giving it back now, if the salesman changed his mind and starts calling me a thief.

Next time you're in Tucson, PM me and we'll come up with a drastic incredibly valid important reason to visit the dz. Only don't show up on one of the four or five days a year when we get rain or wind grounded. The best time to visit and jump would be between say, Jan 1 and Dec 31. Two hundred jumps per year for an every other weekend jumper is the norm. Blue skies.

I never feel lonley when i'm by myself, whithin myself. Curiously, i'm often lonely when surrounded by self centered people. Remember our discusion, Sky, about applying yourself to the efforts of just helping other people whenever you can. If helping others is your primary goal, good things will happen. I know you heard me, because the very next day, you ran literaly to my rescue when I landed my canopy over the mock-up. No, I didn't forget, THANKS BRO. 1). You're not alone. 2). We'll half to find you a woman, or a couple.
