England return the football world cup after 3 consecutive wins - FIFA ask England to play their second 11 next time to make it a more even competition...

For more information, see FFFs new self-help book entitled "How to get hospitalized by your woman in 10 easy steps"...

ahhh.. now I see.... Oh, and also it was a bit of a pity that Rooney had to go off... I still reckon that it was cos he couldn't tie his own shoe laces after his boot came off... Skreamer: You're right, we deserved the loss - I'm not angry at that, just bored of bad play by England.

Quote Besides, probably the worst team in history (British soccer terms anyway) is Bon Accord (Aberdeen by any other name), they lost 36-0 to Arbroath a long time ago (1885) in a Scottish cup match. Being from Arbroath, and living in Aberdeen, I take some delight in reminding the locals of his great day. Compounded, by the way, by Dundee's thrashing of Aberdeen 35-0 on the same day. Quote Those are some pretty massive losses... The dodgy referee didn't help matters last night, but that wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't stick to our usual tactic of defending for the rest of the game after going 1 up... and I lost money last night too... dammit. the french better not win... We'll never hear the last of it from Remi!
-
gutted. We are officially the worst team in the history of football... ever. I still don't understand how Beckham can place a cross on a sixpence from forty yards, but is incapable of taking a penalty from 12.

they may, and I'm not telling them not to do it - that's up to their instructor, but these are people I've known well for a while - it's not like just making a snap judgement, but a reasoned guess based on their personalities. I may be wrong - in fact I hope I am.

France didn't look especially convincing against switzerland Remi... the blues got lucky... again!

Do any of you know people like this? two of my collegues have just let me know that they're interested in doing either AFF or Static line... my first thought was "oh god..." don't get me wrong - there both really nice blokes, it's just that the first is really shy and needs to be told things about a dozen times before anything sinks in, and the seccond is the quintissential "My way is the right way, and I don't need advice from you" middle level manager... Edit: deleted the last sentence on re-reading... on reflection it was a little harsh.

they take beer more seriously than the average whuffo...

OK... good point. The journalists are getting a little carried away there. Eh? rugby? bah... soft game anyway! just a bunch of men with their heads between each others legs... you may as well watch wrestling!

------------------------------------------------------------ In general, get a good quality, branded DVD burner such as a Sony or Similar. Don't worry too much about the numbers that follow the name - these refer to different speeds that the burner can support. IMO, burning anything above 4X is pointless anyway, you get errors and reduced quality. Once you have one picked out, PM me the specs or post it here and we'll try to make sure you're not buying a lemon! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ OK. First off we'll talk about DVD disc formats. There are basically two types, DVD- and DVD+. There is very little difference between the two unless you are intending to professionally author discs, in which case you want DVD-R(W) Author. Now, this is the important bit - You have to get the DVD format that is supported by your DVD burner and vice versa. Get the wrong type and you won't be able to use it... OK so far? Each of the two types, + & -, also come in R and RW. The difference between each is the number of times you can write to a disc. DVD R is a on-time-only deal. You can write to it once and the data's on there for good. With DVD RW it is possible to overwrite data on a disc, but these are substantially more pricey. With any DVD media, again go for a decent branded version rather than a cheapo knock-off version. DTS is a sound format, a bit like Dolby - It stands for Digital Theatre Sound. Nice, but not really important unless you have a very expensive home cinema set up. SVCD is different to DVD - it stands for Super Video CD and these can hold about 35-60 minutes on 74/80 min CDs of very good quality video. You also need a program that supports SVCD burning... Have a look at Video Help.com here. It has some good resources. Next you need to decide what you want to do with your new burner... any questions, feel free to PM me.

Personally I don't really add it up to the second... 13500 and above is a minute, anything below doesn't count - I figure it evens out over time... I do keep a record of the heights I jumped at though, should I ever need to know exactly how much free fall time I've got though...

It's worth remembering that sometimes it isn't about experience. A friend of yours may not listen to the DZO but might listen to you - even with low jump numbers, it's still up to us to try and keep people safe, not just palm it off with the excuse that 'we don't have the experience'... Everyone is responsible - or should be anyway... -
remember whichever one you get to disable the floppy drive in boot options and to require a password to re enable it. There are loads of good, free and easy to get hold of password crackers out there that do pretty much everything for a user - of course, they're screwed if they can't boot the thing up!

I've never really understood all the crap that Canadians get from the Yanks... but dude... You could well be responsible for maintining stereotypical customs just cause of that canopy At least she'll be easy to spot after you chop it... "Check canopy.. AGHHH I'm Blind!! Make it go away!!! chink -
There's part of an interview with Heath Richardson I think on the PD DVD that struck home while I was watching it last night... Paraphrased, it was "high speed canopy flight isn't a normal thing - it takes lots and lots of practice. there's no such thing as a natural'... good advice. Sorry about your friend JP - hope he recovers soon.
