If your brake settings are correct for your weight he will open in a stall using the same settings. He needs a shallower setting. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I couldn't care less how my V2 flies on its back. I want to be the fastest motherfucker in the valley and I don't want my suit compromised. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Hi John, I have a few objects in that delay range where going hand held is not an option and I haven't had any problems going stowed but normally I will choose to go hand held if possible. To me, it feels like a simpler system. Like there's one less link in the chain. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

It's a while since I did any Java. How confident are you about the "n = n/2" in toBinaryString? It looks like you're relying on it to round down, are you sure that's what it's doing? fromBinaryString looks to me like it'll work. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Pics attached. I don't know anything about rigging so I won't comment on the construction, best to get hold of a set and have a proper look. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

That's not uncommon, search the wingsuit forum. You can try these 2 things: (1) Push as much cable as you can in to the cutaway loop, that will often take care of any excess. (2) Leave the excess hanging out of the top. That's what I do, it means you can pull it before exit to make sure it hasn't slipped. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I have an EXT (W8-1, 99 main, 126 reserve) and it's never been a problem for me. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

You want a deep spot. You're the only one who checks the spot before getting out. You don't panic when the 4 ways teams take forever to get out. Your shoulders hurt. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I agree with CJ, you'll fly a tracking suit much better if you're already a skilled and experienced tracker. So I'd work on that first before adding a suit, or you might find it actually slows your progression. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Does anyone have a good number of fine mesh vs big mesh jumps with a Troll MDV in the 10-ish second delay range? How noticeable is the difference? Any change in the consistency of the openings? I'm getting whacked a bit with my big mesh, using direct and indirect control, a 36" zp pc, rolling the nose and pulling in a track. Thanks, Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Hannes was rocking it in his wingsuit and I saw a couple of other people having nice flights too. But yeah, some 'funky' canopy control going on . Good to see you and Jane again Tracy, thanks for the laughs and all the sound advice. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

James if you're taking orders then surely you can furnish us with some details? Pics? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

This is BASE, do what the fuck you want. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

All BASE jumpers don't need to be best mates but it's pretty easy to avoid making enemies. Call the locals. Assume sites are sensitive unless you know otherwise. Don't jepardise other people's chances of jumping. "Call the locals" exists to protect our objects. It's not difficult, nor is it unreasonable. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Well I had a friend video one of my deployments and sure enough, within a couple of feet of leaving my back (before the first stow has released), the bag had spun by 90 degrees on its way to another set of twists. It's very clear from the video what's going on, just not why - my body position is good. I have a spare dbag/bridle/pc so I will swap them in and see if it makes any difference. If it doesn't then I'm stumped. I've been on holiday so I've done 70 odd jumps in the last few weeks and I guess I've had twists at least 50% of the time and one chop. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Have you seen www.BASENumbers.org? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I should add, it's a zp pilot chute. The porosity seems fine (via the suck test) but I haven't checked for symmetry so I'll do that. I have a spare so when I get home I'll swap them over and see if that makes a difference. I'll also try to get some video of my body position. I always liked you Fordy. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I'm having a whole series of horrible openings at the moment where I seem to be getting twists before the canopy (Crossfire2) has inflated, like it's twisting on its way to line stretch. I haven't changed anything in my packing or deployment and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what's going on. I chopped it a few days ago because of this problem. I have a Wings EXT with open corners, an "anti-twist" dbag (hahaha!), extended bridle and a Crossfire2 99, all with about 450 jumps. The pilot chute seems fine (vectran kill line). I leave a good 2 ft of line unstowed, my body position feels fine at deployment. Any ideas? Anything I can look for to diagnose and fix this? Thanks, Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Mel, My Crossfire2 will be due a reline soon, do you think there's any advantage to HMA over putting vectran back on? My loading is not super high, around 1.7, but I like the idea of a little extra speed and distance. Thanks, Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I have found the UK BASE scene to be almost exclusively friendly and helpful. I've called people I've never met and they've given me directions to objects, I've had phone calls from people I've never met inviting me to objects, I've emailed people I've never met and they've sent me entire dossiers of objects! I've wondered about spring loaded pcs before, like a crazy system where you just join your thumb and forefinger and it gets fired out. I'm not saying it's a good idea! But it would allow you to deploy from absolute full flight, without reaching for the boc or BASE pouch. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I tried both on and the Evil Eye don't have the foam/rubber liner around the bottom of the glasses, only across the top. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I jump a pair of Adidas Elevation with prescription inserts and I love them. No problems at all. Pic here. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com
