I flew in Las Vegas FlyAway last week. I flew just over 40 minutes and had a blast. It will be nothing like the L1 in NC, if you are looking to improve skydiving, go for the L1. The FlyAway tunnel was more of an amusement ride where as the L1 could be used for training for AFF more successfully, I think. But I'm sure I've been proven wrong, just my 2 cents. I had one hell of a good time in Las Vegas. FlyAway treated us like gold, staying 2 hrs. late our first night and opening 2 hrs. early our last day in town! Either way its still mighty cheap compared to their normal rate, sucks the price is going up. I know they had been having some problems at Motel 6 with a lap top being stolen out of a team persons room. They were staying for a significant duration, I've never had problems with short visits. The majority of the time in Orlando and subsequent dz's, you can find a nice local (its easy on here, plenty of us are in the area) or students of dz coches (as was my case for a ride home from the tunnel to Lake Wales, Blincoe was kind enough to get me there) to get ya there. There are many dz's in FL only an hour or so apart. There's great variety and a fantastic tunnel staff. I just moved to DeLand in June. I felt the same way, said the exact same things (- the significant other part), and had many reservations. It is tough, its not easy but its easier than you think. If you are moving from cold to warm, its easy to get people to visit! Just think of all the new friends you have to make in the new town. Don't think of how many people you don't know or will miss. Think about how many new people and skydivers there are for you to add to your list of every growing friends. You'll always have back home, now there's just another place to visit for family. Italian dressing and Apple Sauce marinade adds a little sweet to the Italian taste. It's awesome, sounds really gross but I'm so picky. I told him if my post was inapropriate to erase it. He didn't, don't know why but I think your "congrats on free advertising" was a bit sarcastic towards the wrong person/people. Talk to the greeenies or HH as I suggest and work the problem, I'm not involved and would like to keep it that way. He should have erased it anyway because I'm getting so much shit from everyone. I guess that about describes my sig line, its not directed at your Dawn please don't take it as such. Just a ton of crap that is going on right now and there has been so much drama brought to me because of various things and people; all this crap is the last straw for my patience, again not you Dawn just in general. I got really lucky and I am really greatful; there was a time when my parents moved to Ohio (from NY) to start the now successful business but were happy if they could make payroll (not even paying themselves). 25 years ago my Mom worked on WallStreet. Both Mom and Dad combined weren't making what Mom did alone on WallStreet. Hard work pays of. Remember that it's always noticed by the important people whether you believe it or not. You are making a huge assumption that in the furture I will charge. I wouldn't assume anything. I probably never will, that's 95%, unless I become some awesome skydiver with all kinds fame, oh wait, ya that's never gonna happen . I fly for fun, I fly with friends now to help them improve, I also get to hone my coaching skills but only for the better of their flying. I have no intention of charging, I don't need the money, I have a real job that will more than pay the bills and then some. If the job won't Dad will. If you saw the tunnel forum page before HH deleted all the posts you would know what the issue was. Everything else was getting lost in the sharing tunnel time posts. I'm not offering "free tunnel time" I'm offering free coaching I gain nothing as far as skills go, I already have to have those to coach. I have the time booked, people usually share it; I coach them for free because going into the tunnel with no base skill set doesn't get you a whole lot. I fly no one's time who doesn't want me in there or "free time". I was the one who PM'd HH to erase all the sharing time threads, along with a PM to Chuckie I told HH about my post and told him to remove it if it was not appropriate.
