If you're implying this didn't happen - it did. He's referring to my original post in response to Squeak's, which I took down (Dz.com was not posting...then it ended up posting after I reposted, I dunno what was wrong with it that day. ) Anyhow, Squeak had said that the guy miraculously lived without any major injuries. I believed him, figuring that a US police dept would not be releasing photos of a dead body. I was wrong. the police may not have been the ones to release the pics. cameras are everywhere these days and scanner land people ( people who listen to scanners) flock to this kind of report, snap pics and are basiclly a pain to us that work these type of accidents. I see reporters at almost every car wreck i work and they are often on scene before we are. I would say that KC has some great dz's to choose from, each has thier diffrent take on why they are the best and the other guy in town is crap! Kansas city skydive center,LSPC and k states club are great, but Freefall Express in Mt Vernon Mo is Kansas citys fastest growing drop zone bar none.. there are more KC people driving down south then anywhere else for a reason. yes you are on the right path, keep it very clean and NO hydrogen peroixide, that stuff eats away at good flesh as well. Flush it with plenty of water, and iodine solution mixed with more water. keep the dressing clean and yes if it starts to smell, turn funny colors then by all means go to your doctor.. about the meds.. the normal route is ten days of meds three times per day. good luck. Really, folks, I don't need to beaten up for opening the fucking bag. It looked like a duck, it walked like a duck, and it quacked like a duck (hey, where's wingnut with his duck joke). Like I said - looks like drugs. I didn't go through the paranoid machinations of thinking it was anthrax. I am sorry you feel that i have beaten you up, but smelling or sniffing some mystery white powder just did not seem like the smartest thing to do. It could have been something simple like baking soda and then again maybe not, you just did not know. maybe part of my job makes me paranoid, and i just now think that smelling random white powders is a bad idea, but with haz mat training you get that way I guess. As far as the other poster asking if i am around or work with police, well yes infact twice a week during my shifts at work. And for those that say don't take it to the police because you will get arrested, do you have experience with this? are you now or have you ever been a cop? and if it's a posession thing then does admiting you have this on a public fourm count? perhaps you can now put your law degrees to work as well and give an answer to that. once again, soory if you feel "beaten up" for my previous statement, but it just did not seem like a wise thing to do, perhaps there was a better way i could have approached that idea with you. I don't think that any cop will arrest you if you call to report something that you feel is a drug and is not yours. I think the police would have to be very narrow minded to do so. So you took the chance of smelling something that you don't know what it is and could possibly kill you for doing so, sounds logical to me.. anyway So what if it something that is toxic, maybe it is in the best intrest of society to put a dectective on this and let them ask some questions. It's not yours right? you have nothing to hide so whats the problem? I like many of you have a problem with consent laws and the police over stepping or infringing on my freedoms, but if i have nothing to hide then I don't see a problem as well.. it's a hard balance to justify sometimes. call the police, tell them what you have and have them check it out.
