yeah but it has ME in it. That makes it a pretty good damn video if you ask... ME! Besides, you are not in CPC SoFPiDaRF - School of Fast Progress in Downsizing and Radical Flying. Because nobody knows your skills better than you.

I just made a short video of the CPC stuff. It only has the CPC swoopers and mostly the speed round and a couple of water drags. I might get to a bigger one later, but this will have to do for now ;) http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=6163 http://youtube.com/watch?v=YKR-Pj7AQX0

Yeah, Mikey, you gave us a scare... I will lend you the high def footage of the impact for the next installment of the Mikey Perfect series - the execution of the maneuver was perfect and deserves its own story

My own personal American hero Mike Ennis no longer has time for skydiving after he underwent a successful sex reassignment operation... His PD Lightning is collecting dust somewhere...
-
dude... I've been looking for an excuse, but it's hard to find anything better or more believable then the good old "I SUCK" one Must redeem myself next week at the CPC finals.

No major injuries, Larry. He came back from the hospital the next day on his own, but slightly bruised. It looked like a hard impact though, we all have seen MUCH worse from lesser hits, i am sure... i will try to make a vid and post it later. The ambulance was a little late to the scene, but it wasnt 20 minutes... at least as I recall.

sorry, but what kind of silly question is that? And what made you ask it?

I got the very last place

Velocity? Future? Competition Regulations?
frost replied to CKSCUBA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
It's not the modded canopy that makes Jay a great swooper, it's his skill in using it. No way... really? I guess you missed the point... -
I just got a new Cookie box with a Flat Lock and had it mounted to a Rawa. Looks sweet and clean. The quality of the box is excellent!
-
Absolutely! But thats where a little bit of luck comes in, to go back a point i made in a neighboring thread... Jay got unlucky in one round and it cost him the first position. And even then he finished just 11 points behind...

Velocity? Future? Competition Regulations?
frost replied to CKSCUBA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
so is all the preaching of it's the pilot not the canopy irrelevant too? Stu, in the context of this discussion, the focus of which is regulating competition (or sport) swooping, absolutely. P.S. - Ian, may be splitting this into a separate discussion is a good idea? This is becoming interesting topic and Grant is making some valid points. -
Velocity? Future? Competition Regulations?
frost replied to CKSCUBA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
There are many variables on any given day of jumping. Everybody has a bad day when nothing they did seemed to be working... Then the next day everything was back to normal. I think swooping is a lot like poker, you can have a good day and beat the more experienced guys or they may be having a bad day or something... But in the long run, there is no substitute for experience. All that being said, the key point in this discussion, i think, is this: if competition swooping is going the route of professional sports, it needs to be regulated as such. The argument of pilot skill is irrelevant here. -
Cant you post it without requiring readers to register?

Velocity? Future? Competition Regulations?

I agree. If it is not available to Joe R. Swooper, it should not be allowed in events where Joe R. Swooper competes. The argument that the pilots that fly these prototypes probably would kick Joe's ass even on a stock canopy is of no value here... How do you implement such checks and rules or even if it's going to happen - thats a different topic altogether. -
SEE!! it's the Porsche!! Come on dude, i got a couple more ways to convince you. think of this as an investment. You already put in 5 comps into this - jumps, money, time, practice... you have too much invested to back out now! What's another 500-600 bucks going to change? Tix are failry cheap, splitting room and car is an option too. oh and uhm... don't you want some redemption? It was only 1.9 points!! I might regret that last one if you show up and i take 16th place
-
Dude.... that sucks. BUT! As a friend, allow me to suggest a solution. Sell the Porsche!! it has caused you all this headache in the first place! Use the money from the sale to finance the trip to CO. With the rest, get a used Honda Civic. You can get a 2-door V-tech if you're still in the mood for a "sporty" car. Shoot, you might even have enough left to get a giant wing and a set of sick ground effects - and you KNOW that means serious horsepower. This is how I roll!

A bunch of SE CPC boys and a girl are going. So all you pros - beware, SE CPC is strong. Craig S. and Bryan B. will kick some ass this year. Hopefully they'll be there. I got my tix too.

What first Crossbraced from a crossfire2?
frost replied to CKSCUBA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I beg to differ! Have you ever jumped a JVX? I've jumped both, neos is a bit more predictable and a little softer on openings then a JVX with a STOCK slider... but who'd want to jump a JVX with a stock slider anyway? :) -
Nobody was on there feet. Video was on his feet.
