  1. Hmmm... you might have a point there. How 'bout this: I won't tell Laura that her AFF instructor is a major tit-ee bar contributor and you don't tell her that her dad was checking out the thread. Deal? Hope to see you tomorrow if these winds don't ground us.
  2. It gives me such comfort that Mr. Lambert has been one of my daughter's primary AFF instructors. BTW, we're coming down tomorrow for her Level E2 jump.
  3. Does anyone who is familiar with the Mirage G3 and G4 have an opinion about whether the higher cost of the G4 is worth it? (The premium seems to be $200-$300, depending on which price list is quoted.) Thanks.
  4. Thanks for all the feedback. I'll try the various suggestions and see what works best for me. You guys (and babes!) are very helpful.
  5. Help -- I've gone low and can't get back up! Had a frustrating pick-up 6-way on Saturday when the formation built and slowed down just before I was ready to dock, and I sunk below it. (It was not a matter of overshooting a swoop, although I have also done that.) This doesn't happen frequently, but when it does I can't seem to effectively slow my fall rate to get back to the formation. The group eventually released grips and flew down to me, but it sucks when the first point is at something like 6 grand. I'm sure that the best advice is to anticipate a slower fall rate as the formation builds to avoid going low in the first place. Any advice on what to do next time I find myself low despite that? Thanks.
  6. As one whose motto for a long time was "better living through chemistry," I was trying to come up with a concise way to contrast the positive nature of sky diving against the destructiveness of crack and other addictions. I couldn't have said it any better than Blahr. Thanks, bro.
  7. Hey Shedao -- Hope to see you at Orange. It has a great staff and a really cool vibe, with a good mix of FF and RW. I've been jumping on & off at Orange for a couple of years and my daughter started AFF there in August. Have a blast, bro!
  8. 30 minutes, not counting rest breaks. (I have NO idea how some of you guys pack in 5 minutes.)
