It's just ignorance. Some people you can explain it to, others you can't. If they are asking questions, even loaded ones, that's better than nothing. It took quite a while for my family to tolerate this hobby, and anytime I have any sort of skydiving related incident (cutaway, bad landing, etc.) they say they wish I'd quit. So what you're saying is even with the upsizing you're still managing to induce line twists. Apparently it's not a packing class he needs, then. I really think it is the rig. Between one of the riser covers not always staying closed and the fact that even the larger main is too small for the container, the line twists happen but since the canopy is larger, it's not a big deal. No rides for me. However one of the people that got in on the teasing had a ride... On one jump my canopy had a twist and started to dive but I just reminded it that it was bigger and didn't do that so it sat right back up. -
