who doesn't love guitar hero. Guitar hero is soooo last week. I am doing Accordion Hero. It is amazing how similar that Mexican mariachi music and Minnesota polka music really are. This is my new fave... http://www.bumpworthy.com/bump_display.php?bid=1034 Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Just found another good one. I think it was "That Guy" weekend at The Farm. I ran over my own foot with a golf cart Friday. I tried to back it up and for some reason it didn't, guess it wasn't in gear. It didn't seem to be working so I got out, retried putting it in gear and then just pressed the pedal with my foot while standing outside of it. Of course it lurched forward and ran over my foot. Other than feeling incredibly stupid, no injuries. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Last fall, I blogged it. One DZ.commer told me the next day, "You hugged me hello about 50 times. Once you hugged me hello. Puked about 10 feet from me and then hugged me hello again." Friday night I was "That Guy" at Skydive The Farm. It started with a keg of Newcastle and my friend's grain punch. I had a cup of each. I don't mean I had only one cup of each. I had a cup of each. At the same time. Two fisting. The grain punch was strong so I was chasing it with the beer. I had some incredible vegetable soup for dinner, but that didn't really give me a good base. So I drank. And drank. Eventually I got so hammered I fell down and spilled my drinks. We were outside in the woods so no mess to clean up, but I wouldn't be surprised if the punch killed the plants and left holes in the ground. I went and got refills. I fell again. I got refills again, supposedly two more times. After that things got fuzzy. I remember bits and pieces of things, some groping, numerous drunken comments, eating some corn dogs, repeated welcoming of the same people whom I didn't remember seeing the next day, etc.. My friends kept trying to talk me out of getting more drinks but I insisted. They kept me safe, but they enjoyed watching the show. One even worked my phone for me and helped me drunk dial. In retrospect, if you can't work a phone, stay off it. The last thing I remember is taking out my contacts somehow and losing the one of the tops. That and yacking on a pillow. The next morning my friends beat on the door of my van and yelled, "Dude, get up it's 11." I get up and go outside and it is freezing. I look at my phone: 7:45 AM. Bastards. I go to put in my contacts and discover I somehow gained one. No clue where it came from. The rest of the day and evening people would come up to me and laugh. They'd ask, "You going big again tonight?" and tell some story of something I did. Saturday night I was "That Guy." "That Guy who stays sober enough to take care of his friends." I've had my motorcycle a few weeks and have been riding on and off and getting more comfortable with it. So today getting ready to go out and run some errands on my motorcycle. I'd been just leaving the garage door open but decided I'd shut the door today. I hit the button and run for the closing door, making sure to jump over the sensor while ducking (I hear the Indiana Jones theme in my head). I get outside and after the door is closed I realize three things. * The remote garage door openers are locked in my car (in the garage) and my van (outside, but locked). * The house doors are locked. * My house, car, and van keys are inside. At this point I check all the doors and they are indeed locked. With deadbolts on so no credit card tricks. I call my insurance company and they give me the number of a local locksmith to get into the van. He comes out pretty quick. I warn him that the alarm on the van will probably go off and I'll run is as quick as I can to get the clicker to shut it off. He's in in less than 2 minutes and the alarm never went off. I pay him and go about my merry way. On the way home I stop and get gas at the same station as last time (I got about 50 mpg) and get a 2 liter of soda. This time I had my backpack. I get home and I'm pushing the bike into the garage and positioning it on the cardboard since it piddles a bit. I look down and see several oil spots elsewhere as well. As I'm backing it up (human power, engine off), I hear a THUMP!!! Not knowing what I hit nor seeing damage I position the bike on the cardboard and get off. At this point I notice that the tail light is busted. I deduce I hit the door jam between the two rooms of the garage. Luckily the bulb didn't break so it's just the plastic that needs to be replaced (or fixed with red Saran Wrap.) I had just gotten my motorcycle. The weather was not cooperating so was thinking no ride for me. The last thing I wanted to do was ride on wet roads... Was doing other things and the weather teased me a few times but cleared up nicely. Since it has been 80-90 degrees plus the roads dried very quickly. Decided I'd ride to the closest gas station and fill the tank. Yeah, sure it was an excuse... shut up. Get on the bike and start out of my garage, stalling it once or twice. Drive up and down my little side street a few times to get a better feel. Had ridden it on a test ride before I bought it but that was a whole two days ago. Pull up to the stop sign and wait until there are no cars, either direction. I'm out in the boonies so that didn't take too long. Get on the road and start accelerating and going through the gears. As I glance at my mirrors, I realize I didn't set them. I'm not about to try moving them right now while I'm "flying" down the road at what felt like superfast but was really only 45-50 mph. It's only another mile to the gas station and there is a turn lane. Get to the gas station and actually pull too far forward. Okay, it might have been fine, but it felt too far so I pushed it back some and closer. Adjust my mirrors some and get off the bike and give them some money and decided to pick up some oil since it is an older bike and it piddles a bit. Get back to the bike and then try to open the gas tank coming to the realization I had not done this yet. I'm kind of mechanical minded so I could see which end was the hinge. So now all I had to do was figure out the lever. Pushing and pulling it didn't work either. Another biker had ridden into the store, and I was about to start an "Can you help me, I'm a dumbass.." conversation when I discovered you had to push down on the lid and the lever at the same time. Fill up the bike and go look for oil. Didn't see any made especially for motorcycles so I got regular mobile 10W40 oil like the oil cap said. Pay for my purchase and walk back out to the bike. At this point I discovered I did not have something to put the oil in or a way to put it on the bike nor was I wearing a backpack. I was just going out for gas. DOH!!! Thought about going back in and just returning it but decided to see what I could do with it. The first plan of putting it under my shirt or down my pants was quickly nixed. While looking at the bike I realized I was wearing a belt. Using MacGyver like ingenuity I thread the belt under my seat, and was able to secure the oil down to the rear of the seat. The thinking was, at worst the oil would slide off the back of the seat. I had it pretty tight. So I'm all proud of myself and ready to head out. The starter doesn't really work well but it has a kick start (fairly easy plus that's way cooler.) Try to kick start it and it doesn't crank. Try again. Nothing. Now I'm wondering, "Did I put too much gas in?" While thinking I look and see that the switch is still in the off position. I move it to run and waddayaknow starts right up. The oil did make it home fine. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

New name? Your name on here has some potential, maybe with a little tweeking. Are you looking for something wicked, sweet, misleading, ethnic (might not be a bad idea to separate yourself from the others), or just simple? It's kind of cheesy, but Mistress Fortune (shortened as Ms. Fortune) or Fortuna (that could end up having a double meaning...)
