Contact info re: B&B on McGregor Lake . . . their e-mail to me: Hi Fred, I hope your season is going good this year. I have had some calls for rooms during the Boogie, but want to let you know that I still have some rooms available in case you are getting calls. I would appreciate your referrals. I currently have a full down stairs level which features a separate bedroom with a full bed, and two singles with a large living room/dining area/sauna/private bathroom for $135/night. (sleeps 4) Also a queen master room with private bathroom $125/night. There is also a full bed with private bathroom across the hall for $85/night. The latter two are on the upstairs or main floor and also have access to full kitchen and living room area on the main level of the house. If anyone is interested, please have them call me at (406) 858-2456. I do have others staying for the boogie at the Bed and Breakfast next door to the above house. Thanks so much! It is BLOWING so hard here that the sky is full of dirt from Idaho. Glad that we are getting this wind now rather then during the Boogie. Batten down the hatches. www.SkydiveLostPrairie.com

What is that in the old landing field across the runway from the packing area? Why, it's skydivers landing there again. THE SKYDIVERS HAVE ACCESS TO THE FIELD! No more trolley rides. Even FREE beer as part of the deal. Let's hear lots of chatter and spread the word. www.SkydiveLostPrairie.com

Anyone have any experience on retrofitting 1957 wings onto a 1956? There are no differences in the airfoil, weight, control surfaces, etc. The Cessna parts manual shows that the 1957 wings have a "usable on" code that allows the wings to be used on a 1956. The differences: The 1956 wings have mechanical "bobber" fuel gages located in the end rib of the wing and has a "slant" tank with a capacity of 27.5 gallons per side. The 1957 wings have electrical sending units in the tanks with electrical gages in the instrument panel and has "square" tanks with a capacity of 32.5 gallons per side. My thoughts were that, because of the "usable on" code was good that we could use the wings and my IA file a 337 with the FAA. Done deal? NO! There seems to be a problem. We have been told that we need to work with a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) to get approval. It all hinges around the mechanical versus electrical fuel monitoring systems. Any insight??? Or does anyone know of a DER who can apply common sense to this situation? www.SkydiveLostPrairie.com

A, So that you would have time to enjoy some skydiving, we could schedule a special "Spanking Hour" so you can take care of all the Naughty skydivers in one session. Might need to extend it to a couple hours. We already have the stocks ready and waiting thanks to the Canadians. ---------------------------------- Join us at FACEBOOK http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=54792876016 -- 43rd Annual Skydive Lost Prairie, Montana, Boogie July 24 through August 2 Skydive Lost Prairie, Inc. Please check our website for info about the Boogie. It's too bad that the thread will be locked soon. Yes, I listen to comments about the Boogie from all quadrants and do my best to try to keep everyone happy. I will address the PA system problem. As far as noise in the campground, that is part of the event, just like the dust was for years until we spent lots of money to keep it down to a minimum. Hey, all it takes is money and everyone will be happy . . . right? See you back here on March 24th. --------------------------------------- Join us on FACEBOOK http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=54792876016 -- 43rd Annual (2010) Skydive Lost Prairie, Montana, Boogie July 24 through August 2 Skydive Lost Prairie, Inc. Sad news for us. Kurt has passed away in Edmonton on Nov 18th. Apparently, heart problems. His sister, Debi, has asked me to let his skydiving friends know. If you can't attend his Celebration of Life on the 29th, and want to send your condolences, PM or give me a call and I can give you her contact info. Please pass this on to anyone who might have known Kurt. He was a regular at the Boogie and made friends wherever he traveled around the world.
