I am going to chime in here and give my two cents......... I am a skydiver from Idaho, at a small DZ that has a C182. I went to the 2-way camp with a fellow jumper and it was awesome. I was at approx 70 jumps at the time and I had found that I had fewer 'bad habits' to change than other jumpers who had gone later in their experience. I was told by other jumpers that I gained approx. 100 jumps worth of experience from attending the camp. I still talk to MJ from time to time on my progress and he is always willing to give me his feedback. I just hit 100 jumps on this last Sunday, I did a jump with my Jump Master and Master Rigger, and it was only through the techniques that I learned at the 2-way camp that I pulled off the dive, and had fun in the process. Yeah this might be a plug for the camp, but who gives a shit, it works. It sure as hell helped me, and I look forward to going back to Elsinore in the spring to do Advanced 2-way, and possibly some 4-way camp. Thanks again MJ, it keeps getting better. Are you doing Atkins? just curious. I started at the end of October last year at 260 lbs. and to date I weigh 200 lbs. and dropping. it is not a temporary deal, it is a lifestyle. You should look at it that way. But congratulations on the loss. I would recommend a lb. a week goal, this ensures that you keep the weight off for good. Atkins is not good for your overall health, fyi. I went through hell to get where I am and can identify with what you are about to go through. If you want support I am here. Although this is a single reply to Shark, this goes for all of you guys. YOU ROCK! Westcoastchica .... I do remember the 4-way and the hand-shake action, and MJ giving the hop-n-pop girl shit. Were you the blonde who was also pissed that he gave her a 'push' out the door on one of her hnp's? Lewmonst ........... well I don't know about you guy's but putting a pool at the end of the landing area where beautiful women in bikinis frolic might not be such a good idea. Especially on approach in the afternoon when it is being used. Lewmonst it was great meeting you, I didn't know a woman could have legs that long and that nice. Vanillaskygirl, MJ is a very impressive person to learn from. I only wish I had the opportunity you guys do by having access to him and his abilities. That also goes for all of the other skydiver's in Elsinore and their disciplines. There is an untapped shit load of talent out there, it was nice to have access to all of those individuals. I also appreciated the female landscape, I don't get to see that many beautiful women my dropzone, and I mean that in the most respectful way. Not to mention that they were skydivers as well! I just wanted to post this to say thank you to all the great people at Elsinore that made my and Preston's time at the DZ enjoyable. A friend of mine and myself went to the two-way camp at Elsinore and had a kick ass time. Special thanks to Shark (Mark), Leon, Tigger, Michael James (MJ), Kama.
