What I got a kick out of was how the PMRC focused on bands like Ratt, Poison, Cinderella and shit like that when there were bands like Cannibal Corpse running around. Their stupid ass priorities were all out of whack.

I dont think metallica was ever one of those bands to preach "death and torment". My opinion is that is what people assumed based on the sound of their music. As far as them selling out. I find it comical how they always preached they would NEVER make a video because they didnt want to be viewed as sellouts. Next thing you know they are right up there with N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys on the TRL countdown

i have a feeling that he didn't have a shot at your support no matter what and i'm sure you're just being overly dramatic when you say that he is the worst person for the presidency. if you truly believe that gwb is the worst possible person to have as the president then we will never see eye to eye on anyting dealing with politics. I agree. That is why Bush is such a crappy president. He started this war based on pure emotions and revenge. Perception was key in his basis for invading Iraq. He sure as hell didnt base it on factual information now did he?

i am glad to hear you take vacations, even though that is completely irrelevant to this discussion. We have had almost 2000 people die as a direct result of this unjustified war. Generally vacations are taken as a reward for working hard and doing a good job. The only hard work our president has done is managing the deaths of thousands of our kids for no reason whatsoever. Isnt it a rule of thumb that the more important a position is the more that person is needed in office? And dont give me the technology excuse and working remote crap, its all about perception. He is painting a very bad picture of his priorities and overall sense of urgency. He is a disgrace to this country and has no business managing a 7-11 let alone being the ruler of the most powerful country on this planet.

Perhaps you should start a thread about how much time Congress takes off, that is not what this thread is about. To be honest with you I dont care. Congress is not our commander in chief. Congress is not ultimately responsible for the security of our country. Congress is not the one families of dying soldiers are pointing their fingers at. Whats the repercussion of Congress taking some time off? Oh no, perhaps some bills wont be approved for signature...oh wait, that doesnt matter anyways because the person responsible for signing them is also off on vacation

Sad to say but the troops probably arent even aware of their fearless leaders vacation. They are too busy protecting our country, dying, sleeping in the desert, missing their loved ones, and getting maimed for life. All the while our ignorant fuck of a president is chilling out doing what he does best, showing the world how much of a jackass he really is. How is it anybody can actually justify the amount of time this idiot has taken off while in office??

Wow... you obviously don't know, and can't know that being the president of the USA, is probably the most difficult underpaid job in the entire world. Go take a look at pictures of any president when elected to office, and then look at pictures of them after their first term. Clinton and Bush Jr. are excellent examples of this. See if they aged more than 4yrs during that time. You and I couldn't imagine the decisions the President needs to make on a daily basis. Whats your point? Cant handle the job dont fucking sign up for it. If you do sign up for it dont go running for the fucking hills when times get tough, or at least dont allow your PR guy to inform the world that you are taking a 5 WEEK VACATION.
