Liz, Go for the Canon EF 28mm F2.8, I used that one in combination with a Kenko .5 on my videocamera and the two lined up perfectly. The 24mm version is quite a bit more expensive. When you switch to digital, you'll want a wider lens though. The 28 (or 24) that you bought will still work, but it won't be wide enough for the distance you are flying with the tandem. When I went to digital, I switched to the Sigma EX 15mm F2.8 (with the 1.6 crop factor that works out to be about a 24mm) Let me know if you have any more questions. Iwan

My favorite memory of this trip was seeing one of my bestest friends enjoy the skies again without being afraid.. Just her smile after landing at the prairie a couple of times made this trip worth it's while! Of course.. the rest of the trip was bad ass too.. Gia.. post more pictures!!!

Figure out what kind of exposure you need, but the highest flash recycle rate on the 550EX in combination with the Digital Rebel is at a shutterspeed of 200 (the max sync speed for the Digital Rebel) What I usually set the flash to is overexpose the shot by 1 stop (the +1 setting), manual focus at 24mm (I shoot with the Sigma 15mm) My last balloon jump where I took stills was exactly that: On the camera: Tv at a shutterspeed of 200 ISO 100 On the flash: manual zoom at 24mm Overexpose by 1 stop (+1 setting) Let me know if you have any questions...

Liz, Check eBay, I sold mine with the lens for about 150 bucks I think. The standard lens will work (I think it's 28-85 or something) but I used the fixed 28mm on mine when I used it. Iwan

So far we have a King Air and a Twin Otter, and they are working on some more stuff. It's a pretty good possibility that there's going to be a helicopter too as a "specialty" Details will be posted on www.byron-boogie.com as they develop! You're not the only one that has to cancel concert tickets that weekend. Trust me, you'll be able to sell em on Craigslist or (gulp) Ebay. This boogie only cums once a year. Greenday will be around. Yep.. and the real "cumming" of the Byron Boogie.. is the Saturday night! Thursday and Friday night are just warm-ups.. to get you in shape for Saturday night.. You are going to miss out on THE night of the boogie.. Again. you SUCK!
