Dude, I was straight across from you on the formation, I thought you did? At least it looked like it. It might only have been a touch though, because it folded in half a split second after that... Come by again for sure, it was fun jumping with you, and honestly, for 98 jumps (that's what your profile said at least) you fly like a champion! Iwan

He he.. I don't think all of the people that were in the hoola hoop attempt were dz.commers, same thing for the pyramid. I must have been drunk when we built the human pyramid like 8 times or something.. my back is in very bad condition right now.. he he.. I need a massage!! But.. we held the base... and as we all know, you need a solid base. Iwan

There will be something really special in there.. It sounds like there is a lot of potential activity around this mysterious white cargo van with WI plates.... Anyway, you just party in there, we'll party in the hangar, runway, bar,.... anywhere!

Hi there, I am using the Rebel 2000 with a 28mm F2.8 Canon lens. Where to get it? There are a million stores, I got it at Ritz Camera and of course as soon as I got it I found it cheaper somewhere else. Popular stores with the other camera fliers on this forum are Calumet Photo (very good service!!) and B&H photo ( I have no experience with them, but heard good stories from people on this forum) Other than that, just do your research on the web... The same thing happened to one of our families good friends. Happily married for 55 years or so, and one day the wife died, completely unexpected though, no health problems really. A strange thing about this is that the husband had wished his whole life that he would be the first to go, as he said "I don't know what to do without her, I'll be lost" and it came true. Exactly one year after his wife died, he "gave up" and died as well, after a year of falling in the street over nothing, walking around in his pyjamas outside, completely clueless, in the middle of the night and in the end losing his mind, he didn't remember a single thing, only his "little girl" who had died. The man did love his wife to death, he could not go on without her. I've heard about it a lot when couples have been together for that long. The funny thing though, is that women usually deal with it a lot better than men. My grandma is like that, after my grandpa died she became this really cool grandma, and she is doing extremely well for herself, and I've seen that with more couples, if the woman survives she will be fine usually. Not that she wasn't cool before, but it always seemed the woman behind the man.. after he was gone this proved to be the other way around though. It remains tough though losing someone close, we're thinking of you misskriss! Iwan

Or 1 point more, if we make it a 3 point 15 way we got it too..
-
The Byron Love will keep you warm, no worries Iwan

I guess our attempt has to be the end of the day then huh? As Gareth said, it will most likely be one of the first loads of the day or one of the last ones, otherwise it will be too hard to get everybody together.
-
Everybody please post your jumpnumbers as well, I am keeping a list for Gareth so he can work out the details of the jump.. We are at least going to be serious about this funnel right?
-
You will not be the cause of the failure. Gareth will put things together based on experience. If he doesn't know you, or you don't have that many jumps, he will probably put you close to someone that is very experienced, and close to the base, maybe even in the base. I've jumped with Roger Ponce at the American Boogie, and I know I will be fine close to the base so that's where I asked him to put me.. just be honest to the organizer and things will work out Iwan

All, If you are attending the Byron Boogie and want to get in on an RW record attempt to break the dz.com record, please put your name on the list here! Gareth Holder offered to organize this jump. Thanks, Iwan Dz.com jumpers: Gareth Holder (gholder) Iwan (vdschoor)

I just got a response from Gareth: I guess this means, if you want in, be there early! I am going to start a new thread for signups.. Iwan
-
We'll have to talk to manifest though, multiplane loads can really back up the loads if it's busy. We might have to do it early in the morning Saturday or something.. And figure out if Gareth is available to help out...
-
I just checked the list of people that are going to be at the boogie, if we include Gareth (also a dz.com poster) we have 40 people! That should make an interesting record attempt right?
-
Only two more days untill the party begins!
-
Easy, everyone.. remain in your seats.. this is not a hijacking.. no reason to get excited here.. go back to your usual dronings on about the chicks rock boogie! Chopchop, I did remove it, I think it was out of line.. a little over the top on the "dicks rock" thing Sorry 'bout that Chicks Rock people!
-
Very cool fly-by action probably

And there are 15 dollar jumps in Byron the Saturday of the "Dicks Rock boogie" according to the Bay Area Skydiving website.
