That is really excellent, Lisa. Glad to hear that some of that great vibe you send out in this sport is coming back full swing. I sure hope that things start to turn around and go well!

ffcracker......this is from the locked thread a couple lines down. anyone have information about how FAST (in mph or km/h) these guys are going in the dive and then different parts of the swoop. I'm just curious. JumpinDuo.com...news, pictures, skydiving and links.

Hey Chuck....I think it would be great to put it on my suit, but we only have RW suits and we dont wear them very much since we are liking the whole freefly thing. And when we do that, we usually open high. I love flying my canopy and playing with it for about 5,000' before landing. Anyway, when I'm not wearing my RW suit (most of the time), I am wearing something different all the time. When you say they put it horizontally on the cheststrap, how do they get it to stay there? Is it sewn on? Is the sheath converted? Thanks for the help dude!!!

Emailed Sunrise about getting a bigger D bag
mountainman replied to PhillyKev's topic in Gear and Rigging
Just another great example of the excellent customer service from Sunrise Rigging. Everytime I have a question, needed something sent/ordered, or some advice on cleaning a rig......Heather is always there. Thanks Heather!! -
Do you admit you're a skydiver in job interviews?
mountainman replied to Deuce's topic in The Bonfire
When I was interviewing for teaching positions and I told all of them about skydiving. A few of them were like "wow, that is really interesting!" to "ehh...." and the moved on. I heard back from 7 of 8 schools offering me another interview, but I just took two interviews, and then ended up taking one of the jobs. So, I would say "go for it", because that is you!! -
Well, I found another "Brandon Wren" who lived in TX and I found an article written about me/tandem trip from the weekly college newspaper here. Jeez...my name is not very common. JumpinDuo.com...news, pictures, skydiving and links.

Congrats Pammi and Merrick!! Perhaps Laura and I should make a long weekend down to NC?

Sorry. I should have specified. We would have had to pack our Safires either Pro or Psycho, but we had only learned Flat. I know, I know....people say you can pack any canopy Flat pack style. But, it wasn't going to happen. So, we just had to learn after spending all that time with Flat packing, we just had to learn another. But hey, that isn't all bad. At least you learn a lot more about the canopy and what does what and what goes where and most importantly.....why.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to try to return this than. It seems to be too big and awkward for daily jumping. I will return this, get another smaller knife and keep the small one on my chest strap that I have. Thanks! JumpinDuo.com...news, pictures, skydiving and links.

Hey, thanks for all the replys guys! Yeah, I think it must have been due to my spiraling down. I dumped RIGHT out the door and had less than one second before tossing the PC. At about 4k or so, I put the camera away and unstowed the brakes. After getting a bit closer to the dropzone, I spiraled down pretty hard (for fun) and that must have triggered it. I dont think it is faulty since it always works great otherwise. Thanks again!

Wow! So you are saying to slide it all the way down with the actual harness while sticking it inside the Cordura. So, what should I use then to attach it? And what do I attach it to? The harness itself or the Cordura? Thanks for your help!

Anytime! Just ask.

Ha! Did you read the actual sentances that I wrote? I got out and deployed at 13k. JumpinDuo.com...news, pictures, skydiving and links.

jump 56 exit altitude: 2400 dpl alti: 1900 freefall: 8 seconds This was from my crosscountry. Do you think that it counted me diving under canopy as my freefall and then when I stopped that was deployment? I deployed right when I exited the aircraft at about 13k. Damn! What is the vertical descent that "activates" the freefall? Thanks!

I think it is a little overdone and looks way to big. I think that something a little less "showy" would be best. But hey, I'm not paying for it!

By the way, the page you can get ALL of LB's manuals is HERE. Hopefully someone can use this!

RIGHT CLICK - SAVE AS You will need a program to unzip this: WinZip, WinRAR, etc. They are free. Good luck! JumpinDuo.com...news, pictures, skydiving and links.

I am not experienced on this, however, I have heard of some close calls with the horizontal stabilizers on a KingAir from just your average fun jumper. So, I would think this would multiply the danger for you BirdMen. Just a thought when you "flying" from the King Airs. Seems they have a lower stabalizer like the G Caravans. Have fun and let's see that video!

Option B (two) JumpinDuo.com...news, pictures, skydiving and links.

OK.....here is one picture (attached) that has one option as far as the leg strap goes. It is in that small pocket, however it is not deep as you can see. If this is the set-up you are suggesting, how would you secure that top part of the sheith to the leg strap. Option two is on the next post...it is slid down the leg strap along with the harness itself. This does not seem to be very good as it is pretty far in there. Thanks guys!!

Thanks for the info, dude! They did come with the shealths. I tried to find some places on the leg straps for them, but they don't seem to fit very well into them. Perhaps I'll try again. Oh yeah...any pictures would be great for me to see exactly "how" they go on/in. Thanks!
