- Dentista, malpensado ! http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Wow! Talk about bringing out the dead.

American English and Spanish I can also understand a lot of Italian, but that is because I can speak Spanish fluently. They are very close together and easy to learn if you understand the grammar of one.

reply from max cohn, national director candidate, WRITE IN
mountainman replied to genfreefly's topic in The Bonfire
I have certainly recieved a lot of communication from Max when I was inquiring about a Diamond lens. I didn't end up buying one, but that is because I probably wouldn't get good results from it at first. He took the time to attach and send a short video that was made with it just to show me what it looks like. -
I think Chris said it best. Keep it together.

Dave - I think with the FTP format, you actually choose "copy to folder". That is what I have to do. :) http://www.brandonandlaura.com

My Big Fat Greek Wedding (the movie, that is)
mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in The Bonfire
Laura and I went to see this movie last night and really enjoyed it. I guess it has been out for quite awhile, and it is doing very well. There were a lot of people in the theater (~85% full) for the 9pm movie. I thought the whole concept was very believable and it was great to see the conservative American family counteract with the excentric Greek family who is very patriotic for their country. Anyway, if you are looking for a good movie to see for guys and girls, this would be the one. It is rated PG and is still extremely funny. I recommend it. -
Very cool. I like to hear about a place where everyone there is in it just for the sheer joy of it and not making money. Don't get me wrong, though! I certainly don't have any ill thoughts towards those who do it for a living. That must be pretty great to be around something all the time that you love. I still love Richmond!!

Anyone have problems with Premiere???
mountainman replied to konradptr's topic in Photography and Video
Hey Phree - how do you like the editing power of Studio 8 compared to what is offered with Premiere 6.x? Just curious what you think since you've used both. Thanks. http://www.brandonandlaura.com -

Anyone have problems with Premiere???
mountainman replied to konradptr's topic in Photography and Video
My buddy from HS is in the communication business for CBS and he uses Avid and has bought it for his own film work for himself. He uses the new Avid 3.5 with Power pack. From what I hear, it is pretty much the same setup and works the same as Premiere (and Apple's Final Cut Pro to a point). If you want to shell out all the money for it, than I'm sure you'll like it and figure it out. However, I would try some other stuff for your Premiere. Have you thought about a possible conflict with the FireWire card? Have you switched it out for another brand? You can probably buy a cheap one somewhere and try that. Also, read through the "readme" file for possible conflicts with your card (or camera for that matter). Let me know! http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
I have no experience or anything with this, but for your club to do things like they do, that sounds like a great setup. It is nice to see some people in it just for the fun of it. You need SOME money to pay for all the gear and jumps for sure. Glad to see that you are doing it that way!

What does everyone use for DV capture and editing?
mountainman replied to konradptr's topic in Photography and Video
I use Premiere 6.5 right now for import/editing/export purposes. Do you have an error message or somthing that does not allow you to export? If so, tell me the options you use to export it. Have you ever used the program to export on other computers? I'll try to help. -

Sangiro - will the bots be able to pick up email addresses now too from our profiles? Also, does this mean that junk mail bots can do the same? Or, are those protected somehow? Thanks. http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
No jumps here either. Clouded in by the same clouds as Phree...only we had them about an hour earlier. This sucks. Only one jump on the new suit so far. And this was the last week for the Grand Caravan. That sucks!! http://www.brandonandlaura.com

USPA sticker. I have all the stickers from other companies, but I just haven't taken the time to put them on. I don't stick them on the car. I tape them in the back window. I will need to sell the car someday and I will still want my stickers!

Our dropzone is 102 miles from our house and it takes an hour and 40 minutes. It is worth it though! Too bad the weather is SHIT!! http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Totally agree with Phree. When Laura and I ordered from Karen (FREEdom Means Choice), she talked to us and figured out how we fall, especially together. Our first jump together? We fell with each other the whole time in a sit without having to work very hard for it. Very cool. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I won't put that on MUG SHOTS. You need something that shows your MUG...hence "mug shots".

I have a buddy that uses his Apple for video editing as a job. However, he just took a job in TX (don't know where), and now he has whatever he wants. Bastid!
