I didn't state my position when I started this poll. I think it was wrong for them to show it. Why did he send it to a major network? Because he wanted it to be shown. Now in death he has gotten his way. Basically NBC and all the other networks and newspapers that have shown the video and pictures let him win! And now that it is out there in the main stream media, other potential mass murderers might think they can get their 15 minutes of fame. And I see it going this way.... A sick mind will now take the time to make a more polished "media manifesto". Yes, the news media has blessed it with a name and the bar has been set. Now this person goes to the Post Office and does a simple, easy thing. They just calmly send it out. But now they are committed. For the most part they will not be able to change their mind at the last minute. The dye is cast and the carnage begins. For those who think that seeing the Virginia Tech murder's video has and will bring some understanding and closure to the loved ones of the victims I say this. Let those who want to see it view it privately. Showing it to the whole world has most likely opened Pandora’s Box.

Thanks for the warnings everyone. I didn't open this one. And just a few minutes ago I voted in the poll that I always open Billy's attachments. I guess I'm a happy liar now!

I was in Belize just over a year ago. After doing the beach thing I rented a little 4WD SUV and drove west to St. Ignaciao. I hooked up with some locals and had a blast. There were many Maya ruins out that way. One of them was 45 miles from town, out in the jungle. I was amazed that we made it due to the roads, if that what you want to call them! The amazing thing was that the jungle was in the valleys and lower elevations, and the upper part of the hills were a pine forests! The hot tip is to get your own wheels. And try the Iguana. Tastes just like chicken.

So What Name Do They Put on a Royal's Military Uniform??
SkydiveJack replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I saw him on TV last week in a camo uniform. On his helmet was a name tag that said "WALES". End of story. -
Agreed!

Does Dave H. still run the DZ?

No, your not a hooker. Just give him his knife back. Then you are a trusting freind. You didn't go home with him demanding a knife in return did you? No, you went home with him as trusting freinds. Nuff said!

NIGERIAN 419 SCAM - Your Responses Please!
SkydiveJack replied to bertusgeert's topic in The Bonfire
I would copy the Ghana Embassy on the passport. My bet is that it is fake BUT, it could possibly be stolen. Then there is the very remote possibility that it is real and they can track him down. I once gave a scammer the phone # of the FBI. Next time I think I will send them the number of a phone sex line. Maybe they will get the message that I want them to go fuck themselves! -
Yes, get the hell away from AOHell immediately! If not sooner! I know, I know. But I'm kind of stuck with it for now so... Does anyone know how to turn of the damn Spy Zapper?

Can it be done?

The funny thing is we had loads of other sharps on the aircraft. We had defibrillators that could electrocute someone. We had a tool kit full of pointy screwdrivers and other dangerous weapons. We had various drugs that could kill someone if used improperly. Hell, we even had a crash axe with a nice tip that would go through windshields or skulls. But the security people were keeping us all safe by closing the barn door after the horses got out.

Boston will never say that although they should. A week after 9/11 I flew a Lear Jet air ambulance into Logan Airport to drop off a patient. We were parked at the General Aviation FBO and there was suddenly Security and X-ray machines set up. When our medical staff returned from the hospital they had to go through this new security check point. The police went through their medical kits and took all kinds of medical equipment like scissors, needles and anything sharp. It was nuts! I saw what was going on and walked over and introduced myself as the Captain of the aircraft and said these medical items were OK and needed if we got another call. I was told by a State Trooper that if I didn't walk away immediately I would be arrested! Those idiots had no idea what they were doing. Boston has been a real pain in the ass ever since. But the bottom line is that most of this airport security is a joke and not intended to keep us safer. It's intended to keep us properly terrorized so the government can do what it wants.

Hey Thanks! I've been looking for something like this. Seems to work great. You da man Skymama!!

It's most likely a de Havilland Dove. If not, it's the slightly larger, four engine Heron. The shape of the windshield and the slight bulge of the roof above it are the key identifiers.

I hit a moose (or elg- sp?) when I was driving in Norway many years ago. The hind quarters crushed the windshield and roof to within a couple of inches of my driverside head rest. The only reason I'm still alive is because I laid over to my right. I still got hit in the head and knocked out. Had to spend the night in a hospital and wear a neck brace for about a month. The car was a write off but the two people with me were not hurt. The moose wasn't so fortunate! It was basically my fault for going too fast. I came around a curve at night in a mountainous area. The moose was just standing there and my options were to drive into the cliff on the right, off the cliff on the left or lock'em up and go straight ahead. I got lucky! Living in Michigan now, I'm really careful when the deer are running!
