Packer & Bucs fans will love this.. (see attachment)
  3. You da MAN ! Thanks for the link Good Lu7k D
  4. I also listed former membership on demo team in resume. Alas, I have not been lucky in this reguard. I now look at it as screening employers. D
  5. I agree with much of what TKennedy said in his recent speech. Link to speech; http://www.senate.gov/~kennedy/statements/04/01/2004114558.html TK did not adequately explain his support of Carrie (who voted for the war) in his subsequent interview on cnn - IMO D
  6. Sounds like a fantstic deal if it has been well cared for. My only concern would be line set on main. Might want to have it checked if it's never been replaced. Now that PD gives line set #s on their site, that should be easy enough to do. Nothin like your own rig! D
  7. Used to get a lot of -g rides in the '80s (182s mostly) It can be habit forming Where is Mullins based &/or where will he be this year? D
  8. Wasn't there a King Air to 22k? at wffc for like 45$ ?
  9. The logic of a mind that created this masterpiece... I can only say flawless! You are truly an inspiration. Have you ever thought about running for President? Wiping the tears from my eyes... D PS; I've always wanted to know-what was the body count after you farted? (in your icon)
  10. Just read your post... I propably missed it, but I didn't see any offers to body guard in the responses--That would be my suggestion. Get the biggest or badest or ugliest cousins or brothers or friends you can find, (preferably armed if leagal {off duty officer?}) to stay with her at work for a while. Make sure someone calls the local boys, county, & or state for regular patrols. Lu7k D
  11. Guess it depends on where you are- I just dumped T-Moble for cingular... Am very happy I did. (& I had the original per/sec billing) Go figure...
  12. I couldn't figure it either...(Layers) This is my solution... Edit 2; To use my solution you will first have to change pdf to file type MS Paint will read (jpeg, bitmap, tif, etc). Create temp folder in My Documents Once you have the files, open them in Paint First open 'paint'; drag lower rh corner to full screen, Then open file (using 'paste from' under 'edit') drag file (click in center) to where you want it, click outside of it (once you do this you can't move it ). Then repeat for each file. The file will always open in upper left hand corner, so the file you want in upper lh corner should be opened last. Save file in folder in 'my documents'. You can then open it in PS to use print preview so you can adjust for printing. edit: correction; I Size file first (before opening in paint) Primative, but it works for me. Love to know solution you end up using! Hope it helps-Lu7k, D
  13. AT&T does'nt have the coverage yet (in KC), but when they get it developed I think they will have superior service. D
  14. What kind of phone do you use? Where in Ohio do you live? Do other companies have better coverage in your area? Driving a Limo in KC - I had only 2 dead spots in the meto area 6 monthes ago, as of yesterday-only one. Climbing that tower can warm up the hardware on your rig if you get in front of the dish though.
  15. Update; Cingular does indeed use GSM... If your provider has a contract aggreement w/ Cingular (or another US Co. using GSM)- Your phone is suposed to work here. If your contract minutes include international roaming & long distance it could be cheaper than other options. My brother was told today that his problems (above) are temporary & would be resolved shortly...we'll see. D
  16. Kris is absolutely right- Yellowstone/Yosemite are MUST see! The phone thing... My brother is down from Alaska, (WE both use Nokia phones...From Finland?) & he is pissed- his cell provider/contract is 'supposed' to have free roaming/ long distance in lower 48 states through Cingular. It doesn't connect-or receive. (CONTRACT ISSUE) My Nokia is GSM 850/1900 capable- Don't know if Cingular uses GSM 850/1900..will post answer when they open. (Good provider/BAD website) Point: Not only do you need US provider that uses GSM... Your provider must have contract with them... & even then it may not connect & receive. Advice; Check with your provider-if they say yes-bring phone- DON"T expect it to work-be prepared to pick up pay as you go phone for emergency calls etc. Lu7k, D ED;PS, My tri band GSM Nokia6340i/Cingular combo gives (excelent) coverage in mid-west. It kicks over to cell in low lying areas though.
  17. Dear Mr & Mrs Skantsi, Very interesting idea... an adventure! I will respond first by trying to answer your questions; Insurance?-Line it up BEFORE you leave (Finland?)...Allstate, Progressive are two. Insurance?- Person or vehicle specific?-Usually vehicle specific for household. Contact Ins. Company Car purchase:- West coast purchase; East coast sales?-The coast of living in USA is highest on both coasts. So expect to pay high $ in California. Theoretically, you should be able to recoupe most of your investment in NY. Lving in KC, I would not even hazard a guess as to price in Cal. Here, maybe $2k absolute minimum if you are VERY lucky. --------------------------------------------- The last thing I want to do is discourage you, however....Remember you will need transportation to shop for car & time to sell it. Without going into further detail, you should have personal contacts or family on both coasts to help you. MY ADVICE: Look further into rental car...You should be able to find a coast to coast company. Rental companies advertise with USPA, but I cannot find my info-HELP? Companies that advertise with my ins. co.(Allstate) are; Avis, Alamo,Hertz, Budget, & National. Best wishes, God speed, D ED: PS Send personal message for help while in KC

Gotta give these 4 outa 4... What do you think ?
  19. Thanks everybody... chopchop- I spent 3 yrs in the Bay Area '69-'72 Lake Merrit, Mill Valley, & then off to Santa Cruz... Some of the best memories of my life... Always say that's where I want to go when I die! Just in case...What are the best DZ(s) in the Bay Area? D
  20. Use a Lawyer?... Recommend a lawyer?.. What were costs?... File yourself?... Tips?...Pointers?...Pitfalls?... Thanks, D
  21. What cloud9 says, In the 80's we had a dz rig w/ rol cordura pc pouch- if you packed the pc wrong= hard pull. I didn't know they still made them... I personally wouldn't have one. D Edit; Very easy for a rigger to change.
  22. Stretches; My two favorites, best done in succession; 1) Lay with back flat on floor, bed or (best) in tub with hot water, pull both knees up to chest, grab legs just below knees, arch back while pulling knees to chest.{Snap, crackle, & pop} (Variation can be done while at computer--reach down & grab legs just below knees, pull towards chest & arch--you may need to raise feet [I use 4x4 blocks] or lower chair). 2) I've had best results with this one, but it's more difficult to describe, so bear with me... It requires that you be able to rotate your head back, so it must be done either on a table, firm bed, or (best) in tub with hot water. Start on your back with shoulders on the edge of table, bed, or tub so you can 'drop' head back with base of skull against edge. If using table or bed; Draw your knees up (to 45-90 degrees from body), drop knees apart as far as possible, (put soles of feet together), place hands on tops of thighs. (I sometimes hook my thumbs under waist band or belt). Now push down on thighs while 'rotating' head back against edge. (and pulling or anchoring)---{S, c, & p} If using a tub; (best with angled end, like old fashion tubs) Start as above. Put feet together (approx. on drain), knees apart (as far as possible), put hands on thighs (as high as possible), with thumbs in. Put elbows down, and push against sides of tub, (push down on hips), while arching back, & dropping head back, (and pulling or anchoring with base of skull) {S, c, & p} The idea is to apply traction to spine from pelvis to shoulders. It can take time to learn which muscles to use and which ones to relax--hot water seems to help. Also helpful; Inverters, G-boots(Do not use friction bars), Roman chairs (Hard on rotator cuffs), and 95 lb women who will walk on your back As I'm sure any Chiropractor & or Doctor would hasten to point out, you can damage yourself by applying too much force--so start out slow, & progress cautiously! I have used these stretches for 20 yrs. with nothing but positive results, however, everyone's conditions are different. Lu7ck D
  23. pb, I agree with KolinskyDC & Marks--Staying active, keeping abs & back muscles in good shape has been key for me. (compression fracture of L3 & L4... now auto fused) Also key.. for pain relief.. are 'adjustments'. I haven't had cash/insurance for chiropractor, so have developed 'stretching exercises' for relief. (pm for info) Three things to avoid; Forces applied at extension of arms--(an example of this would be; bending from waist to pick up weight with arms extended) In skydiving this can occur from wing suit, etc. Hard openings. Rough landings. Two links that might help; http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=791065;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; &; http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=781319;#781319 D
  24. sdctlc, Thanks for the link. Johnny 1488... I agree, it doesn't appear to be 100% accurate... but I believe it has been updated & is better than the last one I downloaded. Thanks to all for input...
  25. I was recently told that PD measures its canopies accross the bottom skin rather than accross the top. (Top being industry standard ?) This would make their canopies (10sq. ft. ?) Larger than quoted ? Would anyone care to comment on this? (ie; why?) Thanks D
