  1. I prefer sugar to honey. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  2. Rocks for flocks? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  3. I'm getting measured for my Mach One Eleven tomorrow and will have it within one week. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  4. I'm not Jeff (thank GOD ) but with 185 jumps in 1 year you're about good to go. Do a few more jumps in the next few weeks and you'll be ready to jump any Tony Suit (except for the huge ones). www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  5. The only bargaining trick I know (and used semi-unintentionally to get a great deal on a new car) is: Maintain your interest in the vehicle and your position that the price is too high. BUT do not say what you are willing to pay. The person who speaks first loses. Eventually, if you are patient, and they crack first, you will get them to spill what is the lowest they will accept (and in some cases this may be the asking price, but that's unlikely). Always say less than necessary: it's not only a bargaining technique, it's one of the 48 laws of power, and a great way to govern your interactions with people in general. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  6. Very nice video James! Some really unique shots in there. You should really think twice though about letting the camera-man hang from your foot during deployment, could cause off-heading. EDIT: Jarno beat me to it... I really liked the 3D logo thingy too... usually that kind of thing comes off cheesy but this one looked good. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  7. I agree. Keeping your head on a swivel is one thing; however it is a bit ridiculous to memorize "watch out for John on the green canopy doing a 180, Kevin on the blue doing a 270, Mike on the red doing a 360, and Jeff on the orange doing a 540." I would almost say the effort of looking for those specific canopies would take your overall situtational awareness down a bit. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  8. Call manifest, there are people who rent trailers privately for cheap. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  9. Damn, that would be fun... but I'll be flocking in Sebastian! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  10. It's hot and humid, but we have amazing clouds to play with.
  11. What is the popping range of this suit? Pooping? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  12. Mark, here's is a clarification: POOPIN' AND POPPIN' (read the caption) It's a bit hard to see but Jeff pooped that exit. He starts out crouched in the door, feet and knees together, with only his butt sticking out. Then he just leans back and lets go. Mike, of course is "poppin'" on the exit. Poopin' and poppin'! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  13. "Jeff's poopin' it!" www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  14. You mean THESE feedback ratings? Out of 7000 people 6000 gave them 4 or 5 stars. Sounds ok to me. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  15. I don't know a damn thing about stitching but my old S3 has over 400 jumps on it and has held up fine. Once there was ONE loose thread on the arm wing but Tony Uragallo fixed it up for me in a few minutes. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  16. One thing I do not understand about the Blade is why the trailing edge recedes immediately below the grippers. It seems to me that would negate the effect of having the grippers there in the first place. The last 2/3 of the gripper does not appear to have much influence over the wing. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  17. I like that you did not use absolutes here. I.e. separating "to an extent" and staying connected "to an extent." This is in line with what Chuck was saying about flight not being binary (either flying "ON" or falling/stalling "OFF"). Even the most efficient wingsuit flying only has laminar flow to an extent. We are air displacers as much as we are gliders. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  18. It's also a bonus because at extreme wide angles, using an EF-S lens (like the 10-22 I have), you can get rid of fisheye distortion almost entirely. Unless of course you like the fisheye, then I guess not so much a bonus (although you can get the fisheye with other lenses). This is because of the crop factor (I think), right? I will ask something that will show my ignorance... I honestly don't know. What are the major benefits of full frame? I've seen 5D pictures and in some cases they seem noticeably better than a picture from an XT, but what is the photographic reason for this? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  19. I think the big one Norman mounts on his hand for wingsuit photos is a Kodak... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  20. what make and model would you be looking at if that was to happen???
  21. I'd assume it's a followup to the HC32. Not HD. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  22. That's why I said off-topic... wasn't really recommending the OP buy a camera now, just talking about HD. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  23. Choices, choices... I haven't made up my mind yet. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  24. A bit off-topic, but if my current camera breaks my next one will be HD, even if I don't use the HD capabilities. My HC90 was $800 1.5 years ago, the HC5 is now $800. Spot mentioned in another thread (if I understand correctly) that most companies will be discontinuing SD soon, I think. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  25. Which part specifically was wrong? I'm honestly curious... I know nothing of Nikons. I bought an XT for a first camera and it is working out well for me, but "brand loyalty" is an impossible emotion for me, in any regard (cars, computer, cameras, gear, whatever). www.WingsuitPhotos.com
