  1. All these videos I've made are in 16:9. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  2. And if I knew how to sew... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  3. A guy named Frederik Tengbom ("Fritte" on here) from Sweden had the RSL shackle on the end... it seemed to work well for him. He did a lot of freeflying and wingsuit stuff. I'd like to get a setup like that so I can get back into freeflying... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  4. Quite possibly the worst, and funniest, thing I've ever seen posted. That is just wrong! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  5. You're in luck: I'll be taking my sweet time. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  6. Because it's the March gallery, and that took place in March. The caption for the gallery says "Z-Flock 3.0 and Misc jumps from Sebastian." www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  7. CLICKY Blicky. Thanks for a great time, everybody. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

  9. Was nice to meet you and Steve finally, Justin. I will try to make it down to the Hills next time you are here. Warn me! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  10. The inappropriately named "Grey" Mike. Shoulda been Silver Mike. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  11. I stand corrected... as Scott posted, there was actually a small headwind. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  12. Many pictures, video, and more words coming soon... But for now I'd like to clarify one thing, for those waiting in eager anticipation. The winner of the distance challenge was Jeff Nebelkopf (Heffro) in his Mach 1. It was close between him and Robi in Super-V2+, but Jeff managed to take the win by a small margin. Congrats Jeff. I believe his flight time on first competition jump, verified by Neptune, pull at 3k feet, was ~205 seconds. It was a bit shorter on the second jump, IIRC. I think he flew around 3.5 miles (with a slight tailwind) which is an average G.R. of ~1.75 (with respect to groundspeed, not airspeed, so actual G.R. was a bit less probably). Ted from Texas and Tarot (sp?) from somewhere in Europe were close behind, also in the final 4. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  13. This one is all I have time for now. We're just getting warmed up!
  14. CLICK CLICK CLICK Whatever kind of music you listen to can be used for videos. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  15. Well, they're not exactly Z-Flock pictures, but here's a few shots of Jeff in Sebastian last weekend flying a prototype suit. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  16. I prefer Sony Vegas for editing, here are some examples of what you can do with it. It's very easy to learn. And definitely keep your eyes on the horizon during opening. That way the only forces going through your neck are compression, not bending. You will hear people say to look up, down, left, right, and all around during opening; there is no compelling reason to do any of these. Keep your neck straight. A Pilot is a great canopy (I have one loaded at 1.5) for camerawork. I actually hold my chin with my hands during opening just in case for some weird reason I get whacked, my arms will prevent my neck from bending. If you attempt something like this make sure it doesn't cause you to go headlow when you pull your arms in. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  17. Damn, that was a cool video. I thought I had it rough when my job made me travel for a few days. I could never take a 4 month business trip. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  18. FWIW, Mike is one of the most safety-conscious flyers I know. He has to be with me always trying to throw an elbow into his calf! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  19. A last-minute FYI regarding camera flying and the event video: Last year's event video included footage from 10 different cameras, both inside and outside the flock. If you have a camera on your head and would like to contribute footage for the event video, please shoot in 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. All the locals shoot 16:9, I shoot 16:9, and the final video edit will be done in 16:9. Even the oldest PC cameras can do this, if you don't know how please ask me on the DZ. Also, last year it took almost an entire month to receive tapes in the mail from everybody, and that affected how long it took to get the video out. If you plan to mail a tape, please do it quickly after the event, that way I can turn the video around faster. Even better, get me a tape at the event or firewire straight to me (though I will not have time to connect to everybody's cameras one by one so maybe you can team up and create dupe tapes with a buddy, or maybe we can create a firewire station somehow). Those flying outside camera on the bigways will coordinate with me on each dive; we don't need more than a few, and as Scott said we don't need 3 camera flyers backflying under the formation and colliding. We will have at least one dedicated, stable, centered top debrief video perspective on every bigway jump. Two more days! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  20. Those are probably the coolest "look at me wearing a suit on the ground" pictures I've ever seen, Darth. You should market yourself to one of the wingsuit companies to spruce up their catalog shots. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  21. Torrents, Usenet, etc... sources abound. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  22. Very nice. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  23. Has anybody asked yet if this new Charlie Brown suit will have backvent option? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
