    Like puzzles?

Finished them all, thanks for the link, that was one of the more fun games I've played in a while. If I can find the link I'll post something similar you'd like... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  2. If you don't own a camera, why would you want the footage on a miniDV tape? Once you had it, you'd have no way to use it! Have him dump it on your PC in AVI or something. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  3. By "softer," do you mean slower? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

    Bearshare

On ITunes there is a fee per download to download copyrighted material Yes, but iTunes is a "download purchase" store. You're downloading straight from the store. P2P is a network where any 2 Joe Shmoes can connect to each other and share anything they want. How could 99 cents make that legal, or comparable to a store? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Well now that would depend on what material you are downloading, wouldn't it? If it's copyrighted material, it's just as illegal to share through "Bearshare" as it is through any other P2P network... why wouldn't it be? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

There is nothing illegal about peer to peer sharing. There is something illegal about copyright infringement. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  7. Congrats. With 7 pics you'll actually get a decent check. And the extra copy will be inside a big white envelope, so I doubt it will be missing a cover. But it can take up to 2 months for that extra copy/check... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  8. Is this like Where's Waldo? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  9. Yeh, you're definitely right about that... but if you can't afford a real lens you can get it practically for free, and it will last you for 6 months like mine did. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  10. Admittedly it is not great in quality. But it is certainly not "the worst", or even very bad for that matter. For visual evidence, here is one picture I took with it... pretty much everything in my galleries from March 2006 - September 2006 was taken with that lens. For analytical evidence, see Photozone's test report, which states that it provides "very decent results" at 18mm and ~f8... which is exactly where I liked to shoot, and I can confirm the "very decent results" sentiment. Zoomed in, and at slower apertures, the picture quality is indeed a bit less, but it's mainly color related, nothing that some post processing can't clean up. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  11. What is a Flock and Dock? Historically, Sept or Oct. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

  13. Stop being such a rockstar James, flying by buildings and starring in commercials, we cubicle dwellers are jealous. Nice job.
  14. But can you mount it all at once? Nice collection. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  15. If they go big but retain the sound and ethics that drew me to them in the first place, I will still be a fan. Case and point: Jimmy Eat World. Unfortunately this is rare. If they go big but ruin their sound in the process, I will no longer be a fan. I won't name names, but this is more common unfortunately. But to answer your question, it is possible to remain true to yourself while going platinum. Some friends think I am prejudiced against anything "mainstream", and while it is true I don't listen to much of it, some of my absolute favorite bands are insanely mainstream. Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Radiohead. I will give anything a chance, regardless of where I first hear it. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  16. Actually, as long as we are mincing words, Nick Cave's The Bad Seeds are "post-punk". Bad Religion has been around since the early 80's and is pretty damn close to true punk, or at least "L.A. punk". Comparing then to Green Day is a huge injustice. Green Day is at best "punk revival", at worst "pop-punk" (nor are they close to the caliber of artist that BR is). NOFX is more "punk revival", but is one of the best in that genre. (FWIW, I love all of the above mentioned artists, with the exception of maybe Green Day, who are just ok). You're pretty good at saying who "isn't punk", but it's not black and white. It's shades of grey, there are shades of punk, and saying nobody but the Sex Pistols is punk is as silly as saying nobody but Black Sabbath is metal. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  17. The Dude likes his Coen Bros. "Damn! We're in a tight spot!" www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  18. Give all the idiots a brand new religion? Answer, Faith Alone, and No Direction all have awesome lyrics as well. Ironically (only in relation to this thread), Greg Graffin has written a Punk Manifesto. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  19. Hmm, interesting timing on your post... I was about to order one from eBay today to try. But if you got it at a local drugstore that sounds easier. Which store? I've always assumed I had allergies, but I'm honestly not sure if that's what it is. All the little things like stuffy nose and scratchy throat I can handle, the worst part for me is that I actually feel lazy and sluggish when my allergies (if that's what they are) act up. I don't know what causes it (I do have cats, but it comes and goes so it can't be them), but when it's bad my head and body ache together. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  20. I'm curious how you found that picture but I'm afraid to ask. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  21. Would you be able to see the chest-mounted altimeter, with a full face, WITHOUT the wingsuit? Congrats on staying alive.

  23. Kevin, if there is ever any doubt, I will vouch for your sanity. Or at least what's left of it. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  24. You might be right. Still, that setup is so snug that it seems to ensure all forces transmitted to the snap are completely perpendicular to its "unsnap" direction. Would be interesting to do a static loading test with a similar setup and see if it is possible to make it come undone. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  25. I was gonna say the same thing. On my one cutaway where I had an RSL, the shackle actually came undone somehow during the mal, and the RSL landed with me and my container (still on the velcro), rather than with the main canopy as it should have. No offense to the original poster, but I find it hard to believe the Prodigy snap/strap could come undone when routed properly. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
