Most of them (the good ones) don't. You can do a lot of things without instruction. Freedom to be stupid is an inalienable right. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Nice April. Where's all the ones of me taken from across the whole landing area? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Do you mean the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM which is at around thousand dollars ? That would be about 10 times more expensive.. No, I mean the EF-S 18-55mm IS. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

There's a couple different versions, and they're all in stock on amazon.com. I've heard the newer IS one is actually pretty decent. A bit more expensive but still cheap for a lens. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

How many are of me in the landing area? www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Use pricegrabber.com and search by price and store rating. Decent ones are B&H, Adorama, Beach Camera, Butterfly, etc. Amazon usually is pretty competitive with price too, and can't be beat as far as megastore reliability. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Nice job Phil, was all that footage yours? I didn't realize you did so much non-wingsuit jumping that week! I've been wanting to do a time-lapse of Jeff ice carving for a while now, you beat me to it! I liked how you centered the palm tree behind the sculpture. And wtf was up with the dude in a kilt? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

We all enjoyed seeing you there, and you're not as "shy" as you think. Cya next year.

1.333 Wingloading with 160 jumps....
The111 replied to markovwgti's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Is this similar to how you bought a camera with like 100 jumps but weren't going to jump it? And then you bought a camera helmet but weren't going to jump it? And then asked for advice on how to jump your camera helmet? www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
I'm sure Yuri and Jarno have specific procedures for intitiating a new wingsuit, but I'm not sure you or I want to hear those. Put it on and fly it.

Here they are. WINGSUIT SKYDIVING! It's the gallery at the very top, February 2008. Also, for those of you who did not see it, this is a poster that the DZ hung around town, in bars, etc. Thanks again to everybody who showed up, and to all the new faces I met. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Spot, I'm not sure I understand which side of this issue you are on. Could you elaborate? My completely un-educated guess in that within 2-3 years BD players will be very prevalent in many houses. And in 10 years, they'll probably still be around even if something better exists, just as a lot of people still have VCR's. I'll probably buy a burner for my PC in the next year or two, if the media prices drop. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Ha, I like the look on Justin's face in the second one. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

HDR Photography in free fall - Anyone done it?
The111 replied to freeflydrew's topic in Photography and Video
I'm pretty sure that some of the higher end cameras offer a setting that will accomplish this. I remember seeing an exposure setting that gives you +/- in each direction on my 5D. I'll have to pull the manual out as I know there is an easy way to do this even in skydiving. That's called exposure bracketing, this means your camera takes 3 or 5 pics in whatever it's fps rate is while varying the exposure by 1/3 or 1/2 stop each. Very workable on a tripod, no good in freefall... Yeh, plus it's present in bottom of the line Rebels. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Nice to meet you down there Jeff (was it you that mentioned the Notwist and Thrice?). Many other new friends made from Colorado and the Northeast. Nice to see all the new faces. I'll have some pictures up in a few days and the video a bit later. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

You took everyone else's rum to Spain? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Wow, I was just there in December... only the second time in my life I'd ever seen snow! Boarded all the green and blue runs and had a lot of fun. Saw no avalanches. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Will the HC9 have the same problems the HC7 has with freefall? What makes the HC9 superior to the HC5 (for skydiving)? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Hey Kevin, Just use the camcorder lens filters and select "Century" and "37mm" and there will only be 4 search results. Or go HERE straight to the item. If for some reason that doesn't work for you here are the ID#'s straight from that page: Mfr# 0DS-55WA-37 • B&H# CEDS55WA37 www.WingsuitPhotos.com

What about the Century single element .55x I have? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Since I'll be flying in from Houston for this one, I can't lug my tent along. I got a room at the Quality Inn & Suites near the DZ, non-smoking, two queen beds, $85 per night, for 3/13-3/16. If anybody wants to split it with me and share costs, send a PM. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

If possible? Do you doubt that it is possible to not jump it? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Better late than never? It's taken me a bit longer than usual this time, partly because I wasn't looking forward to editing a bunch of footage with fog circles on it. Anyway, hope everybody enjoys it. Download from: My site (also, check out the "BONUS" video Phyxius Project if you haven't seen it yet) Skydiving Movies (pending approval) www.WingsuitPhotos.com
