LOTS to the rescue. http://www.flybirdman.com/learn/rr/workout.html I don't really do the static holds, but sometimes I do reps with the "fly" type exercises described in there (to side and front) with light 10lb dumbells, doing sets of like 20-30 and then on the last rep I do a static hold for as long as I can. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Either 7 or 8, I can't remember. I'm lazy, I never use packers, in the past year I probably haven't broken 5 in a day. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Wrong, that is not working, and I definitely tried it before. The note says "always ask before opening this file". If I uncheck that box, I can run that specific exe in the future without a warning. Any other exes I still get warnings. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

It's funny I get all my PC help from DZ.com bonfire forum these days... But I can't find this anywhere else. Just installed XP SP2. Am getting "security warnings" whenever I either d/l an exe (using IE) or try to run an exe. I disabled everything I could find in the security center, in my browser settings, and did a million websearches but am stumped. Little help? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

deal on digital rebel xt, too good to be true?
The111 replied to The111's topic in Photography and Video
Yeh, that seems to be about the best deal I can find on pricegrabber.com. And all their sellers are rated by pricegrabber users, and almost all of them have great ratings. I just got an HC90 for about $740 shipped through a seller I found through pricegrabber. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
G or PG rated? And they let YOU come?! Can I jump your Phi? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Do you realize the irony of this statement in reply to the post I just made? I just finished saying, if asking something on a public forum about a manufacturer, repeatedly without answer, perhaps you'd be better taking it straight to the source. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

deal on digital rebel xt, too good to be true?
The111 replied to The111's topic in Photography and Video
Even for just the body that would be a great price. Thanks to those who found ratings... I knew sites like that existed but couldn't think of any off the top of my head. I pretty much wouldn't have touched this deal anyway but feel better seeing the bad ratings. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
I didn't choose it or pay for it. The shipper screwed up originally and said they would overnight it at their own expense. I didn't argue but did find it funny since I've used ground shipping between these two cities with 24 hour results. But I guess they wanted to guarantee I'd get it since I need the product (my canopy!) before the weekend comes. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

The best way to get a package from Daytona to Orlando? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

If your interest is not flame baiting, as you say, rather simply trying to understand an ad you read for the suit, perhaps you'd be better off going straight to the man who made the ad (and the suit), rather than repeatedly asking an unanswered question here. Let me give you a good example. I flew the Prodigy a few weeks ago at Zhills. When I was on jump run and reached back to feel my hackey, I felt something that terrified me. The loop which hangs off the back of the jacket was extremely close to my hackey, and depending on how I grabbed the hackey, it was entirely possible to grab it THROUGH the loop, creating a jacket-horseshoe malfunction. I tucked the loop away inside the jacket as far as I could, as I know it is intended to be, but I honestly was still not comfortable with the idea of having that loop back there with "tucking it in" as the only means of keeping it away from my PC. I thought there should be a more secure solution, or the loop should be in a different location (like the front) entirely. So, in the interest of not flame-baiting , rather than repeatedly making posts here asking if anyone else shared my concerns, I simply went straight to the source. I emailed Robi about it and he replied promptly with his thoughts. Make sense?

No need, I already said I was mistaken. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

You're not mistaken, but in this case I may be. It's been a while (and a lot of drinking) since college and to jog my memory I looked up some quick web definitions of lift. Most definitions specified that it was a vertical force opposing gravity, however those definitions were also in regards to powered, LEVEL flight. I think Yuri may be right in this case. Believe it or not, my BS in Aerospace Engineering was basically a Mechanical Engineering course of study with one or two Aeronautical classes tacked onto the end. And if you know me, you know I might have slept through those classes. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Actually, lift is defined as a force that opposes gravity. Enough THRUST would have put Scott through the wall. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

What is the fastest wingsuit available at the moment?
The111 replied to Trae's topic in Wing Suit Flying
No, didn't see that, but I heard about it from Rosalyn who swore the jump never ended and was getting ready to make her next one with a Neptune but didn't get a chance. I'd like to try that Phantom myself sometime. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -

Yeh, I guess that counts as "flying a suit like nobody else can". www.WingsuitPhotos.com -

I was wondering when someone was going to mention that. Forward speed is not the goal of wingsuiting... forward speed WITH glide however is another story. Nobody probably knows which WS can get the most forward speed because there aren't people out there trying for it. As someone else said, it's possible to reach well over 150mph forward without a wingsuit. I wonder how fast I was moving forward when I was diving my S3 at 196mph? Ok Yuri, I have a few questions since you seem to be someone with extensive BASE experience in both suits and I value that. You reached 2.4 glide in your S3, and you say 2.5+ in your V1... how much "+"? I.e. what's the best you've sustained so far? Also, you say the V1 glides much fast than the S3 at the best L/D glide for each suit. Which is more attractive for BASE, a fast glide or a slow glide (assuming constant glide slope, which I know is not the case here). You mentioned something about the SG being attractive because it has a good glide rate but still flies slow along that slope. And one final question, I am NOT interested in a Ford/Chevy pissing war and I could care less which company makes which suit, nor will I challenge your statement that the V1 glides better than the S3. But I am curious if you have flown the S3-S and if so, how it compares to the S3 and the V1, in terms of glide and speed. I wonder if ANYONE out there has extensive experience out there in all 3 of these suits, especially in a BASE environment like you are used to, where the performance feedback is much more obvious. The only one I've jumped is my S3 and I'm still having fun. -

Yeh, I agree with the "top mount" crowd, but the reason I was still thinking about side mount was because I want to add stills at a later date. But then I saw this setup, so I think that is my new goal.
