I agree, this impressed me easily as much as Superterminal did. Around 6:35 he is clearing a ledge and it sort of creates an optical illusion that he is climbing... very surreal. Hey Chuck, remember the other day when you said that you didn't feel you'd ever missed out on anything by not BASE jumping? Bet this video makes you reconsider. Me, I don't know when, but I know I have simply got to do this someday... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Any video from this event (cutaway)? Perry's cutaway is at the end of my Z-Flock 2.0 video, which can be found here, in the video gallery. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Is there any reason you tried your first 270 on a canopy that you weren't even used to jumping? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Thanks Danny, I do intend to be there again next year.

I'm gonna have to agree with Chuck on this one.

I know I've read comments on here regarding reasons not to use a zoom lens in freefall, but I can't seem to find any of them now. I am really close to buying the Canon EF-S 10-22mm. The only two downsides in my mind are the APS-C format, and the reliability of a zoom lens in freefall. Does anyone have any real-life negative experiences with a zoom lens while skydiving? I understand that in theory the loads encountered during opening shock may not be the best for the lens' mechanical components (although even fixed lenses have a moving focus element). But how much is too much? We're already skydiving with our cameras, which I know whuffo photographers think is foolish in itself. Who has ruined or worn out a zoom lens after many jumps, or a particularly bad opening? Who has used zoom lenses for a long time, with success? Post your stories and advice, please.

Great stuff man. I had halfway forgotten about my old desire to get into wingsuit BASE off of these beautiful cliffs, one day in the future. Your pics renewed that desire. Very beautiful shots. This may be my favorite. I know you've answered this before on these forums, but what camera/lens? Some of the shots are incredibly fisheyed, that's about the only thing I don't like. How much post-processing did you do on most of those shots? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

For all those comparing savings accounts. Mine (UFB) is no longer listed for some reason. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Read it again, it does not say p-i-l-o-t. At least one person got the joke.

I had the opportunity to see the new Aerodyne canopy up close this weekend. It will be released around April 20th of next year. P.S. No Photoshop here, just strange luck. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Looking at your attachment, I see less words per line on a forum post, on your screen verus mine. Does this mean you have your 30" at a lower resolution than my 19"? Do you have old people fonts installed? Glad you got the old one returned. I am fanatical about researching reviews before I buy things, for this reason. The sad thing is, almost EVERYTHING has something wrong with it, so be prepared for many negative reviews no matter what you're researching. Pick the item with the least negative reviews. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

The photos have been posted. Enjoy! Thanks again everybody for the great flights.

What photo editor? I'd be willing to bet it can flip the image... as I pointed out above, even MS Paint can. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
-
Yes, a mirror would work. And all you need is MS Paint. Flip image horizontally. I don't have many pics of myself here, but I just tried it with one I found, and I think the theory definitely has some merit. It looked much better (more normal) reversed, IMO. This test will work best with photos where you're looking straight at the camera. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
-
I have actually thought about this theory for a long time, I did not just come up with it. Here is a test. Find a picture of yourself, which you hate. Mirror it in Photoshop. See if it looks more normal. I have not even tried that myself... now I'm curious. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Here's a reason which I know is applicable to me, and I'd assume most others. Nobody is perfectly symmetric. Since I'm excessively analytical, I'm acutely aware of my own assymetries. My right ear sticks out further than my left, my left jaw is more square than my right, my brow is slightly slanted, etc. I grow accustomed to seeing my face one way (in the mirror). When I see it the other way (in a photograph), the assymetries are reversed. Granted, the assymetries are small. But, when you reverse them, you double their emphasis. Here is an example which will keep the guys' attention better than me talking about my ears. Let's talk about boobs. Assume your left boob is slightly bigger than your right boob. Your left boob is "average +1" and your right boob is "average -1" ("average" being your average size). While you are really only assymetrical by "1", when you swap those numbers, you're changing each boob size by "2", thus doubling the apparent size difference/imbalance. I sumbit that we appear imbalanced in pictures, relative to how we see ourselves in the mirror. Disclaimer: I know nothing about boob size unit systems (other than "I like" or "I don't like") hence the generic sizing scheme. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I hope nobody anywhere is doing that. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Why do you seek an immediate black and white answer, and why do you assume someone here has it? There is beauty in mystery, and perhaps the pieces we've been shown so far are not entirely literal. The most obvious possible explanation would be that she did it herself (potentially through some alternate personality she is unaware of), and what she sees in the mirror is a symbolic representation of her darker side, the side that is capable of doing what she did. I just downloaded and watched the show and suprisingly enjoyed it. I will be back for more. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Nobody has data. Everybody has opinions. Everybody is a different pilot. There is no scientific way to measure something with so many different input variables, even with a single pilot configuration. I can tell you one thing for certain. All 3 are wingsuits, and are fun to fly.

That is extremely cool... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Thanks to everyone for showing up, especially those who came from out of state - Matt, Brian, Nate, and Purple Mike (sorry if I missed anyone). Lots of good jumps for sure. I will have some pictures posted on my site within a day or two, and a video coming later.
