National Academy of Sciences takes a stand
christelsabine replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
If you choose to give up your rights that is YOUR choice. The problem comes when you want to make the choice for me and others using some silly arguments Wrong. Parents do have the right to say NO, if they do not agree to contents of sex edu as taught in school! In case they dislike it/disagree, the kid will be excempted from class. Simple as that. dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
National Academy of Sciences takes a stand
christelsabine replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
Exactly that. And that's also exactly what our kids here are taught in sex ed classes - parents know what they're talking about, know books etc. - nobody is complaining about "taking parents' rights away". We always were in close contacts with teachers of our kids and knew what was going on in that subject, as well as talking about sex with the kids as soon as they started to ask. Simple as that. -
Why ?? You're looking like usual - I mean, *looking good* as usual ... and not one year older. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Ballon jumping questions
christelsabine replied to tntsawers's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
For a ballon jump here in Germany, you need a minimum of 300 jumps. For more detailed info, just give AERO DZ Calden (Kassel) a call, they are quite close to you. http://www.skydive.de/home/sprungzentren.html -
And 2 many typos Man, after reading the crap you're spreading around, I'm quite sure you must be an alien. Or a comedian. Or a relict of American Civil War .... relic I know English isn't your first language, but if you want to be the spelling police you had better get it right. Dear, it's called "relict" as well as "relic". Both do match (even "relict" refers much more to a widow), I preferred the first one . That's what I learned in school(s). BTW: In North America. Whatsoever, in my eyes the post I replied to still remains .... see above. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Whoa! Does that imply you know anything about the others named? dudeist skydiver # 3105

Quote .... -Require all guns have yearly safety inspections, and that they all meet basic design requirements. -Require that all gun users have a gun license, pass a biennial gun safety review, and demonstrate proficiency on the sort of gun they want to operate. -Have currency requirements. No gun usage outside of target ranges unless you have fired at least 3 rounds of that type of gun in the last 90 days. -Require that all guns have insurance in case they cause damage to someone/something else. -Require registration of all guns, with a serial number assigned to each one. Registration must be produced upon request. -Allow operation/transportation of guns only in uncontrolled areas (i.e. areas far from roads, cities etc.) For other areas, you'll need varying levels of clearance, from a simple call to a police station ("I will be carrying a gun from St. Louis to Chicago on Sept 3rd") to explicit permission ("I would like clearance to carry a gun from LA to SFO.") .... Quote Hi there, that's exactly what's required over here, Sir! Essential basics! How did you know? BTW: I fully agree with those regulations and we (all law abiding hunters/gun owners here) strictly follow them! Otherwise, if you only fail in one of these points, your license is gone forever, your drivers license too, your skydivers' license .... you name it. Strict but, working fine. Yep. dudeist skydiver # 3105

So Canada is in the Bible too? It surely is. Just ask Bill he surely knows and will explain in detail, right, Bill? (You know you have to!) dudeist skydiver # 3105

Hi Bill, many moons ago, we had some hotly discussions about "philosophy of life", you remember? Reading your news today, I am a bit surprised to learn that the end of the US ("as you know it today") will not be caused by any of the potential enemies, such as The Bear (Russia), The Dragon (China) ... etc. as you told me, Bill, you remember? Such a profane event like an asteroid partially hitting the US (and Europe, partially) is a bit of a surprise to me. Did you filter out that event from your King James bible, Bill? BTW, I hope you're fine and busy, as usual Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

Who did not "think this one through...?" Bush as well as our Dr. Merkel are kinda idiots with re to the Dalai Lama, which is a clever man and using the tools he's been handed over. With all due respect to that peace loving man called Dalai Lama, our politiciens should keep an eye on more important issues in the world, last but not least China, an unpredictable factor. "You're Going to Get Bored Within 100 Jumps"
christelsabine replied to NWFlyer's topic in Safety and Training
No. It was no one else but myself and my glorious overestimation of my own capabilities telling me: Lord, it's becoming booooring now ;: I need to downsize! What a BS. Thanks God, my great teacher(s) (in Germany as well as in Spain) kicked me in the a** telling me to do some workshops, flock dives, canopy control courses, etc. etc. At this point, instructors should hang in and have an eye on those tough know-it-all-jumpers. I was that giant fool, just beginning to learn. THAT's what newbies reaching the 100s should be told. dudeist skydiver # 3105
