hi piisfish, i love your country! been there so many times, paid hundreds of Swiss Franksen as i was driving tooo fast... but love Switzerland. and even from altitude: wonderful ! love it, even sometimes Swiss people are a little bit sloooow ..... BTW: the tunnel in Rümlang is sooo funny! been there several times, enjoyed every minute. they were so helpful in training me on basics ! had great times there. dudeist skydiver # 3105

ROFLMAO our biggest competitors in cheese ... the Swiss sell holes with edges..... and we love to buy it! and the Genuine Swiss Knifes: i always have one in my handbag, what for? don't know. maybe Switzerland's army is invading Europe and i need to defend myself?? and oh, not to forget: with this knife, instead of stabbing yourself, you may open a bottle of good German wine.... dudeist skydiver # 3105

Should I carry a Hook Knife?
christelsabine replied to TXBLKBEAR's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
one of my aff instructores used to say: for what do you need this? after talking to several CReW dawgs, I use to carry two of them with me. just that simple. dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
this is MR/MRT you will be laying down on a small bed, slowly moving forward into a metal tube. (i always hated that procedure, gave me a kind of agoraphobia, as metal roof is nearly touching the nose, cannot move, may not move ) but, they gave me a bell-rope to stop, just in case of panic. during this time, hundreds of pictures are taken, showing body part in question in closest details/slices. procedury takes about half an hour. only after doing this, my doc (a specialist in shoulder surgery) discovered every injury caused by 4 dislocations at various situations. muscles were pulled down, ligaments torn. all of this was not be seen on any X-ray (of course not) or by doing CT. do not hesitate. ask your doc. in worst case, simply calculate few/several months to be lost. wish you tons of good luck, whatever will come. christel dudeist skydiver # 3105

did they do any nuclear spin tomography? this is the one and only way really to discover all damages inside of your shoulder. X-ray and computer tomography do not show enough. i had 2 smaller surgeries after few dislocations but, only a specialist for shoulders discovered on the nuclear spin tomography pics what really happened and really was torn.....a lot, too much. after that, a conventional surgery was done with a huge scar, i lost nearly one year (of working and skydiving ) . my moving range of right arm still is only at 75 percent but enough for skydiving (after training like a fool) if not already done, ask your doc! shoulder injuries, especially after dislocation(s) do not forgive anything. shoulder with something torn inside is not healing by itself in a proper way. i did not read your complete thread, and i am not a doctor. but ask as your dics as much as possible to avoid further damages. it seems, you really have a serious problem with your shoulder. stick on it and try all to solve it. it probably will take a long time but, with only 21 years, you will recover quicker than you expect. wish you best on that, you will do it right dudeist skydiver # 3105

FJC: what exactly does it mean? i'm German, you know. PLF: i learned the hard way. it's always in my mind within last seconds before touching the ground. PLF and EP are burned in my brain (BTW: i already hit something else than plain fields: a tree). my impression: somewhere is a lack. students already in the beginning should be trained to work on risers. it cannot be OK just to read about that, only by listening, watching videos, being capable to use risers. Holy Moses, probably i should stop reading all what is written on these pages. makes me completely confused and insecure. -
really, do not know why you consider me as a "winner". but, like to hear this, gives me a good share of self-confidence. i just made something to be the lucky one. never ever after this event thought about it. tried to pm you this, but it's impossible to reach you. anyhow, will keep my ears and eyes wide open to listen and look at all what's happening at this site. PS. your sig line is not bad. exactly what i use to say, a little modified: i know nothing. but men saying this? weird. rgds dudeist skydiver # 3105

no cannot believe: way too expensive! last year in december, i bought my "new" cypres at my rigger, more than 3 1/2 years years younger than the one at eBay, last battery change was 08/03, i paid for item itself € 550.00. this i consider as a good price. maybe i'm wrong, but things like this, principally i 'd prefer to buy at my rigger, my dz, simply: where i know my people, trust in them. just my opinion.

OPINION: Land of the Free, Home of the Slave?

probably, good Steven Greenhut once had a problem with government? this article is not new. this article says nothing special. this simply is democracy with its own two sides. you cannot love it and hate it, but have to arrange yourself with it. normal way to exist in a democracy. nothing outstanding. Mr. Greenhut is Jewish? (to avoid any misunderstanding: i'm Jewish (my grandmother is born in St. Petersburg, Russian Jewish) dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

such malfunctions are only shown on pics. this is my experience. no further explanation on that, how to prevent or something like this. no, not true: how to prevent has been teached in few words: keep good arch! during my 8th consolidation jump after aff, the bridle of PC was "hanging" around my right lower leg. i noticed, as nothing happend after pulling, saw it ! BIG BIG shock at that moment! i turned on my back, surely not by willing, but this was best in that moment. i catched the bridle with the PC, kept it in my hand, arched and pulled hard immediately again after coming back into belly position. this too, was not really planned, it was simply coming within a second. main canopy opened a little over cypres fire altitude. later at the dz, friends told me that people already turned their faces away.... i only remember few thoughts: dont' let the PC bridle stretch, don't let the main come out while you'r fallin on back side, hold on. it worked. still today, i am unable to really explain in more details what happend. never before and never after i had such a long freefall time dudeist skydiver # 3105
