  1. OK, call me crazy, i don't mind, man from the island! from time to time, i do take things serious, and gun point is a serious one. so what! dudeist skydiver # 3105
  2. How funny is that ! Just by throwing in few words - see post No. 17 of Mr. JohnRich and the direction, this thread went after that - JohnRich again turned this thread into a gun thread. and the fire again is starting to burn high on both sides: >Just curious ... Is Belfast in the UK, by your definition?< this question will require a hot answer, anyhow it will end in a gun thread, no matter which ones ! or am i completely mad? christel dudeist skydiver # 3105
  3. where the hell are you digging for all these "news" spread out on dz.com? "In the news:" This is your every day's bible? No own opinion on anything, just throwing media news into the market, waiting for replies... and keeping the fire burning. weird, somehow. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  4. > what the military does? everbody knows that. no need to reply.soldiers are well aware of what might wait for them. and after (and if war is over, probably) all is over: how will be their return: horizontal or vertical? they are forgotten. no more bright shining heroes! what's about all the deeply broken wrecks with their ruined health / mental health? remember the surviving/returning soldiers after 1st desert war: nobody ever is noticing them. so many of them w/o any chance of a future, no more aim in life. this is, what the simple private is not well aware. >with re to your 2nd question: our educational and cultural matters are good enough to watch the world with open mind. and.... it does qualify, f.e . to keep my own opinion on something. we are not only reading Michael Moore, there is another interesting author too: Jimmy Carter, the so called "weak" president and his book "The Rebels". he has many highly interesting views about Americans and their wars. but, what i said is just looking upon in a different light, not a condemnation. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  5. probably, as it depends on something specific, or someone specific...?? dudeist skydiver # 3105
  6. no, you did not change the tread. you just were adding a small fact underlining the way Japanes (ones) see Korean people. this still is actual. rgds dudeist skydiver # 3105
  7. you do not really mean us$ 25k? the amounts in question within the terror biz are way bigger. this point cannot convince. in no way, you can compare the situation in and around Israel with the Iraq war! wealth? just look down to African dictatorship, bleeding their countries to death. need to invade? American men & women are a part of the deal? who made this deal for them? i am sure, 99 percent of them never wanted to be a part of this silly war. too easy to say everybody is well aware what could happen. i say: nobody is. this is beyond imaginations. we are living in comfortable worlds. no one wants to leave to Iraq being well aware this could cost your live under inhuman circumstances. i do not believe this. this war is superfluous, like others were before. just let's wait for its results and its consequences for the rest of the world. rgds dudeist skydiver # 3105
  8. ok, understood a war agaist terror. but why taking place in Iraq? terror is happening worldwide. sad enough. support for terrorists is not coming from Iraq, as everybody knows. so what? it's like fighting against wind mills. GWB just wants to convince the whole world that he is doing a Holy War against terror! by destroying a small poor country somewhere between Middle and Far East. by sending your guys into their death. who TF will be blind enough to believe this is fighting agains terror? oh yeah forgot: the US votes dudeist skydiver # 3105
  9. late reply, but my reply: i did not study Japanes or Korean mentality. i simply lived there. so i just repeat a point still important: Koreans and Japanese have nothing in common. with a "Japanese one" i simply mean a Japanese. i remember one small detail in the very first year of living over there: at a dinner table (that was in Hongkong), i mentioned (in German) to other Germans beside me: they simply look the same, all of them! what a silly statement. the Japanese (one) in front of me, capable to understand and to talk in German, replied in a gentle but very serious way: do never compare us (Japanese) with them (Korean). there is more than just one universe between them and us. Japanes and Korean have nothing in common. this guy from Tokyo still is a friend of our family. he still mentions the same. Japanese look "down" to Koreans. i know this specific since 20 years. i do not know which kind of studies regarding Japan you made. i just talk about my own experience living in the FE. in another forum at Speaker's Corner, i was talking about FE where i used to live for so many years. this is becoming a little off-topic now. i still feel sure, that NK is a danger which should be considered as a serious one. regards dudeist skydiver # 3105
  10. i agree. such details should be shown. on first view, the posts of a jumper with way more jumps than i have as a beginner, look much more substantial to me. just seen from my point of view. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  11. just another quick reply after watching your last sentence: this is your sig line? dudeist skydiver # 3105
  12. might be... but, i've seen many many posts, showing about 50 or more views, and in result, nobody replied. so, this function doesn't seem interesting to me. just in my opinion.
  13. just a quick reply to your last question: i'm from W-Germany, but grew up in Canada, later on living in the FE for many, many years. was in Seoul for several months, in Hongkong several years, Singapore about 8 months, former PRC for about 5 months. Indonesia: about 3 months. locations changed due to biz. and yes: Pearl Harbour... this is another movie. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  14. this "Clinton part" is just something of secondary importance under this tread. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  15. regarding FINE, you are right: i was not detailled enough. with re to economy, there is no doubt, unter Clinton, economy was much more efficient. who torpedoed the USS Cole in the harbour in Iraq? there was never a final proof. sadly 17 were death. bombardement on the US embassies: never any final proof of Iraqi sources. these attackes were coming from other parties. so search the basic evil in the country of Iraq, simply is wrong. SH surely was the devil of his country. but this is not our or the US problem! OBL was not supported by SH, but much more by the Arabian world. what to do on the other Arabian countries? invade again? dudeist skydiver # 3105
  16. sorry, i still see this different. not all of us are born to be a hero. obviously, he wasn't born for that. he did his very best in this moment when the Australien asked him. in this moment he felt hope. help for him to survive. the moment you talk, you do not kill. surely, he was feeling this. feel so sad for this guy. let's wait for the news tomorrow. probably, you are right with your pm. christel dudeist skydiver # 3105
  17. this poor man was shown in our news-tv this morning. i saw mortal terror in his eyes. his lips were dry as he was forced to tell his name. it makes me cry to see such a hopeless face... is it worth to waste a precious life? how many more will be thrown away? for which idea? sad, so sad. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  18. yes, i know what you mean. dangerous is, if countries like India, Pakistan own nuclear weapons, Korea too. we, i mean the "western" world, can do two things: deny it, or live with it. i would at first just recommend our secret services to do a good job... dudeist skydiver # 3105
  19. the US ist not the only super power. this is just make believe. for how many centuries? time changed. this is something to believe in. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  20. this is simply feeding the mass. no matter where, in which country. it's always the same to keep the mass uninformed. you're not welcome in the press room anymore? I have no idea what you're trying to say there. He has no moves to make. (remember America's misjudges on other Asian contries)*** think about Vietnam, oh no: at first Korea! and now Irak, again a personal US Waterloo. just saw latest news from Irak: it's a mess! i'v geot tears in my eyes watching the young soldiers doing their job. why to feed the canons with young Americans? what do Americans have to do in Irak? finally, there is no absolute proof about 09/11 ! this is off-topicnow, sorry! but if you need to be heroes: go on to misjudge the Far East, misjudge the Middle East. just to imagine my one and only son aged 20 to be sent over to a freak called Kim...just in case.... to prevent something to happen. to be sent to Irak to do what? bring back the dead bodies of his friends? what TF do you have to do over there? everywhere? why don't you clean your own country! dudeist skydiver # 3105
  21. Korea... Soviets .... what a bunch of triviality! of course, their propaganda differs from the one "we" in the west use to know. but: who really knows how much of your and our propaganda, yes, i call it propaganda, is censored? it seems to be a specific US tradition to judge Asian countries. the US always failed on that. the Korean Kim will move before he is attacked. and if this is onyl to press the rest of the world. blackmail, as said. : BS (remember America's misjudges on other Asian contries) yes, he surely suffers egomania, he's controlling his poor hungry small country with an iron fist: who is telling you that he wants to affect anything outside of his dirty stinky country? only by knowing he can push the button, every country will be prepared to negotiate with him. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  22. do you really want to compare Korean to the Japanese psyche? a Japanes one will kill you instantly if you call him a Korean... this just aside. Koreans and Japanese are completely different. I'v been living in Korea for a while. do not underestimate their lovely KIM_and_something....the Koreans always are dominated by one KIM which they followed blindly. he is well aware to be the chief of a nuclear weapon force, he's weired (or: wired wrong, as said in this thread), he'll love that Cheney or whoever it might be, is looking for support in the Far East. if ncessary, he will use his power. he is isolate in the FE. he is dangerous. do not simply call him a little windbag. this is arbitrary estimation of someone, you really cannot classify into a certain drawer. you're right: he will not even have gaz enough to reach South Korea. but will have power enought to push the red button. he's crazy enough. and crazy people are dangerous. dudeist skydiver # 3105
  23. hmmm... as your sig line is alway "on topic", my simple question: America was quite fine unter Clinton, the democrat, in fact: US was better at these times. did Clinton - or Mrs. Clinton - grew up talking dirty ? weird dudeist skydiver # 3105
  24. oh really, Hitler was a Liberal?? so, Bush is more evil than Hitler was? gives me something to think about on this side of the western world. just had a fine discussion with my lovely old grand dad, a marine who saw 2 WWs.... his comment was short: bungling! Hitler would have sent his armed-SS, and the Irak would be clean within 24 hrs... this of course is not the answer to ...Counting. BTW: your sig line.....wow! i feel so comfortable to live in a democracy, but thats off topic.... dudeist skydiver # 3105
  25. I try to figure out what is interesting to me or others if i see in the mini profile: post No.....x... of .....x-numbers, how many views on what? i do not count that. this is no more a mini profile. it's quite large, and for me it's questionable if i need to know how many views this special person or other viewers made on that/what. i never have a look on that. there is a detailed profile of everybody! if you really need such detailed info, just take your time and have a look on that. important points for the mini profile are fully OK, like jump numbers, location. questions like in renewal order form: how many jumps within last 12 months? that would be OK, such to be shown in the complete profile. that's an important point. but not how many views... and "how many years in the sport" is just too superficial and general. my opinion, always blue skies christel dudeist skydiver # 3105
