    Hi Bill IMO the reason some of the media ("Liberal")are so "negative" is because they were in NO for the four days after the hurrican hit and witnessed the Human suffering and the deteriating conditions first hand and FEMA reporting to the outside world Help is on the way!. These reporters had witnessed disasters all around the world so they thought they knew what to expect. The disconnect between FEMA and NO was a major FUBAR. I'm a human being and am horrifed what we saw via the wonders of T.V. When the final death toll comes in we'll see if the "liberal" media had a reason to be "so negative". The death toll from the Tsunami couldn't be prevent due to the lack of advance warning imo a large number of the death's in NO could have been prevented if FEMA had their act together. History will be the judge of what happen in NO back in 2005. We'll see if the "Liberal" media enters into the equation R.I.P.

    Hi Rookie I agree with you 100% CNN websight has a timeline of what they were reporting in NO and what the head of FEMA dude was saying. It looks like they were speaking in different lanquage's It will be interesting to follow the Dudes career after the dust/water settles. R.I.P.

    From what I have seen and heard----YES as far as I am concerned it has been a major cluster fuck. Everything from communication to logistics has completely collapsed. Hi Rookie I googled the bio of the head of FEMA. He's a lawyer IMO The wrong dude for the job. I'm not going to throw stone's at the dem's vs republicans this isn't the place or time for that. Very sad R.I.P.

    Hi Lets try this. Go to a designated P.U. point with a all the supplies you could carry and wait for the Gov't to Pick you up. Go without food, water, sleep, in 91 degree heat, no bathroom, no security, no communication for 4 days with no end in sight and let us know how you feel. What would you be willing to do to get a glass of water to keep one of your loved ones alive for another day? R.I.P.

Excuse me not PC Might be a good time for a vacation or go visit a sick relative Instead of fighting mother nature your dealing with human nature.     It's wierd how that sort of thing sneaks up on you. There was a couple of old farts jumping at Lost Prairie this summer. I kept thinking who are those fat, old, bespeckled, bastards. They must be really really old. And a lot older than me. Then one of them said that he was 54. That's one year younger than I am. They were probably thinking the same kind of thoughts about me....Steve1 Hi steve 20-20 hindsight been there done that Start at age 23 weigh 125 lbs gain 1#/yr in 35yrs a persons weight could be 160#. at age 58. The good news is gear is a lot lighter than 35 yr's ago and we are 35 yr's older and had a good time. R.I.P.

    Hi Casurf I'm not a expert but maybe the port can be left where it is. Folks are going to have to do some deep thinking before they decide where to rebuild the city. The damage estimtes of a Cat 5 vs a Cat 4 are out of date due to loss of wet lands and the falure to take into account the speed of the hurrican. There are two knee jerk reactions build the city and coast line bigger and better vs build it somewhere else. New orleans was located in the soup bowl a long time ago and a lot of things have happened since then, including katrina. If the city of N.O has been destroyed they still have most of the citizens and the new N.O. can be relocated in a new place and still be bigger and better than it was as long as they have the culture and spirit of their citizens. How long will it take to decide to rebuild or relocate? History will tell
