Hi Darius The old "dilution is the solution to pollution theory" Why the rush To pump and spread the N.O. Gumbo. 99.99% of the people inside N.O. will be removed. I'm guessing a study will float to the surface someday about what the real plan was to handle this Hazardous waste site. The pumps in NO were designed to get rid of reguler water (more or less) not toxic waste. Oh goody the pumps are back on

LOL could be You know after the 2ed hurricane in central florida the men on our street went to each house seeing if everyone was ok, seeing if anyone needed anything. Chain saws were fired up and we cleared our street and the ones around it. All of that with out a single tax dollar. You take care of yourself, family and the "hood" All this with out anyone looting or shooting. Chainsaws LMAO We grew up in a hood and din't own a hammer, or screw driver, car etc till we got into the "real world". Hi Chip Whats a 3k member? Your police dept sucks if their saying a 15 Y.O. perv can't be arrested. Its not like you attacked the kid with the spray while he was walking down the street.Your other neighbor caught te kid also. The cops want to hide their head in the sand? Hi Folks Dilution is no longer the acceptable solution to pollution. In a national emergancy of this size the rules might go out the window, However theirs plenty of proven technology to treat the nasty stuff. Pretreatment, Oil water seperators, AC: Activated carbon, and RO reverse osmosis, There's even plenty good intentioned contractors gettng on the the list to help. If there isn't time to treat the toxic pool befor it's discharged (whats the rush now) they'll be cleaning up a bigger mess later. Contractor's like that shit they can't work for free, they get paid by the gal. Got to give FEMA some credit we may find out that this very scenario and the solution has been considered and a solution is sitting in a report on a shelf somewhere. I respond with nearly all who were there chose to stay. A three-six hour slow walk out of town would have allowed all able bodies to reach higher ground. On a slow pace one might cover 2 miles per hour. As for the non-able-bodied, I don't know. What I do know is that the folks down there saw this sh*t coming, and I believe that everyone could have done a little more. A little more, all around, would have made a big difference in my view. Yet another guess based on no actual data. Hi John A "interesting" guess if i must say so myself. The lessons learned report should be interesting. Will be even more interesting to see if the peep's who guessed wrong in SC will step up to the plate. Hi Master A dealer for a neighbor Poker is really populer these days lucky for you. Befor the place we're in now a family moved into a house down the street painted it pink, all furnishings brand new, and had lots of "friends" visit for short periods of time. The neighbors were . I figured about 12 month's and they would be relocated and started lucking their $10,000 hot tub. The owner was eventually relocated (12 month's was close) by the cops,DEA, FBI etc. The wife and kids were evicted and the repo folks got a lot of stuff except the Hot tub. Decided the Hot tub was bought with dirty money and didn't want it. R.I.P. -

Hi Acme We have great neighbors They don't sell drugs Cut their lawn twice a week And even wax their roof gutters. They are "Interesting" folks. And we have a double fence between us. Everyone has neigbor's, some better than others. Ours leave us alone and we do like wise. Not the best situation but could be a lot worse. R.I.P. -
