Cool, thanks:) Angela.

Anyone here engage in this sport? I was at the beach this weekend and saw a couple of guys kite surfing in the waves... it looked like a really fun thing to do on a day too windy for skydiving. Anyone? How did you get into it? What size kite do you need to be pulled 10-15 feet out of the water? I was reading some stuff on Big Air Sports' site, but am curious to hear from any of you who have done this. How physically challenging is this? :) thx. Angela.

Andyman, can you clarify why it is that you don't recommend these for people who rely on instruments of altitude awareness, please? thanks. Angela.

I am 30% pure... only 4% of the population is more impure than me At least some of you can relate Angela

ha! That sux! I have had about 4 or 5 speeding tickets in the last 12 months:( I have probably spent about a rig on attorneys, but I have NO points! take care and drive safe! (coming from a complete hypocrite) Angela.

Sure do! Best place to sing:D Angela.

I've also gotta wonder of those who did in fact have the disease, but were told otherwise; how many became infertile? Do they have any ground to for legal action since they likely would've been fine if they'd been treated? Angela.

I wonder how they let it slide. I mean, wouldn't it seem a little out of the ordinary for only 82 people out of 3000 to be negative, and the rest positive? I mean, I don't know what the actual statistics are like, but i'm assuming that most people come up negative (correctly). What idiots! Angela

Super sweet rig! And, I agree, those pants rock, too! :D Angela. -
I hope she's doing ok. (((vibes))) Angela.

lol! I like to think so Angela.

Absolutely, I intend to :) I want to have canopy control a perfected skill by the time I jump from 500 foot objects. I was just commenting on the guy who said to post my picture. Not that I wouldn't post a picture, but just that when i'm ready to do this, I want someone teaching me because they feel I have what it takes, not based on looks. Cheers! Angela.

How far have you come since your 1st post?
SkydiveNFlorida replied to AggieDave's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
AFF 1st jump in July, first post just before then. I have since up'd my #s to over (yay) 50+ skydives! I am currently working on freeflying, in the NEXT YEAR i'd like to accomplish: Front riser dives to start learning swoop techniques. At least 1 or 2 more canopy classes. Maneuverability in a sit fly, I jumped with someone recently in z-hills that just blew my mind. All I can do is sit, this guy was awesome! I'd like to get head down, but do not intend to work too hard on this until I feel really maneuverable in a sit fly. Until then, i'll just flail now and then trying for head down, just to switch it up a bit. I'd like to attend at least one out of state boogie, maybe WFFC. In the next 5 YEARS i'd like to: Be swopping the ponds with the guys. Be able to get on a big way freefly dive. Possibly start BASE jumping if I feel ready. Visit several DZs out of the country. Angela. -
Thanks for your replies:P I would rather that someone mentor me for other reasons than because i'm pretty. I want to learn from someone who trusts that i'd make a good base jumper and wants to teach/train me... not someone who wants to get me in bed. Thanks:) Keep up the polling! :D Angela.

Just curious as to when you guys started BASE jumping, and if it overtook your skydiving career, if you ever had one. I am interested in BASE jumping, but I wonder how many skydives i'd have to make before someone would mentor me. I also have to consider gear costs and such. Thanks for answering the poll, reply as well if you have more to add. Angela.

lol! Apparently, neither am I. Funny quiz! Angela.

Canopy course at Sebastian Dec. 6-7
SkydiveNFlorida replied to skybytch's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Agreed! Great class, definitely worth it! Angela. -
The redneck was Jameson, it was hilarious! And, yes, Vic as Tinkerbell was an absolute riot! I wonder who won best dressed, I left too early to find out. Angela.

Jumping when you are supposed to be grounded??
SkydiveNFlorida replied to funks's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
man, good luck with that. I don't know if I could do it, either. I'd probably just jump a trustable canopy and land on my bum with my legs out front of me. But, like others said, you never know when you'll be taking that reserve ride and landing on unfamiliar turf. In the end, it's your call. Obviously there is further risk involved given that you're already injured. Angela. -
Ok, Thanks! :) angela.

What about the out of practice Southern Baptist Half Jamaican Half Georgian born in Florida but left their heart in Texas? Where are yous guys? Huh, huh huh???? ROFL!!! I knew it! I found out I had a brother when I was 12, now this? Sheesh, wonder how many siblings I have?! :D LOL! Angela.

I was thinking about sewing my chest strap so that it'd turn back as well. I will see if it would indeed fit or not. So, for now, even though the strap is infinitely long, I should be stowing the excess not on the left, but on the right of the buckle? thx angela.

Did I ask you for a gear check?
SkydiveNFlorida replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If you gave yourself a gear check why were you worried? What was it that had you worried? Why did it worry you? - Jim blah blah blah. Dude, I can't check my reserve pin. I'm so sick of your asking questions like i'm supposed to have to answer you. I really don't. Did you answer me when I asked if you would mind if I went fiddling with your gear? No, you didn't. Did I ask again? No, because I really don't care. Angela. -
Did I ask you for a gear check?
SkydiveNFlorida replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
At that point we were to be jumping soon. Everyone was starting to get on their knees to check their gear. As I was about to, and did proceed to do after this guy took it upon himself to open up my flaps. I don't care who you are, you do not have the right to do this to someone. You need to make someone aware at least, or more politely, you should ask them if you can check their gear for them. I am sorry you don't believe I should check my own gear, but it is my decision to make, not yours. Another person mentioned maybe i'd been moving, etc. No, that is not the case. I was sitting in front of this guy and neither of us had been moving. I try to refrain from moving much on the plane as it makes people nervous, and rightly so. It makes me nervous when i'm siting in front of someone who continually moves. Another mentioned my lack of a cypres.. wtf does that have to do with anything? ! Stay on the subject people! sheesh. Angela.
