Man, and Florida is supposed to get a cold front this weekend. I think Sunday's low (night) will be like 50's or something *brrrr*. I'm jealous! -A

Is it easy, or is it easy for a computer genius? I will have Rory's help, but i've not done any programming outside of Cobol. You know, someone else said the same thing about Tech Writing to me. I think that you just helped me decide to take the class since you say it is important and C++ won't kill me:D Thanks! -A

Next semester I have Organic Chem, Lab, Linear Algebra, and C++ programming. This is 10 credits which is not considered a full load since full-time = 12 credits. Now, if I actually want the AA degree, I need extra writing credit anyhow, but i'd kinda said screw it. But, it looks like if I take an extra course (technical writing it would be), i'll get 500$ extra after books and class is paid for. So, what do ya think I should do? I have some very hard courses already without the writing class, and i'd love to have more time to spend on the others. But, otoh, i'm going to have to get used to a full course load of hard classes since i'll transfer into a chem engineering program next year full-time anyhow. ugh, . An extra 500$ sounds nice, but so does free time. what to do, what to do? Thoughts? -A

Pilates! The main focus is the pelvic floor (lower abs).

Some of it is solving simultaneous equations. There are a couple of good practical applications for LA, shipping/logistics and encryption. For logistics, you load all the coefficients into a matrix and reduce it down. It produces the most efficient way to load a ship. Cool, sounds fun! I hope that I can spend enough time on each class to really get something next semester as all of my classes will be good knowledge. I've got LA, Org Chem, Lab & C++. :) -A

*Jaw drops* Um, wow, n shit! I haven't gotten a bonus since I have worked at this place, and pay raises are never above 4% yearly. :( I just got an extra dollar because they took away my hourly status so now i'm a slave:( I am WAY jealous! Congrats, tho! -A -
Are Linear Algebra and Linear Programming the same? I am taking a Linear Algebra (Matrix Theory) course next semester, is that the same as Linear Programming? -A

riiiiiight.. I forgot about those generous bookstores. Thanks! Good for you because Diff Eq is the really should be named Difficult Equations! It sux! I'm not a Physics wiz, but I did better in Physics II (electrical circuits, etc) than PHY I (damned pendulum, double pendulum, etc!) Good luck with your stuff! I agree with the other poster who said keep at it now, no breaks! -A

YAY!!! -
LOL!! Great minds think alike! Jen Hey, since you're done with Calculus, you may need a Diff Eq book... 50$, What are you studying, again? -A

Other, my job is easy, pays well, but I don't like it because i'm bored... however, i'm earning a degree in something cool, so eventually i'll have a better one. You should add ^ to the poll:D -A

Awesome!! I had the same thing happen to me today. We worked on our Diff Eq group project last night, I understood a good deal of the equations, but wasn't understanding why a function was written in such a way. We were all tired. This morning, going through the materials, I UNDERSTOOD! And, our group presentation went great! YAY!! No more Differential Equations!! I can't wait to sell my book! :D -A

Tell me about it!! I sold a 140$ physics book for 25$. Yes, I know that was stupid, but I had carried it in there on crutches and just didn't want to walk back out with it since I had to buy ANOTHER physics book anyhow. Just too much shit. They do suck, this semester if they are unreasonable I will try to sell them online or something. Which reminds me, I should go to the school to see what books I need for next semester so I can try to shop online, too. -A

Glad we worked this out, Rosa. I am sorry if I offended you, like I said, I thought it was kinda funny (guess I needed a smiley, too, things come off different sometimes in type.) Anyhow, I have nothing against the Pink Mafia, AFAIK from speaking with Alli, they may be well on their way to helping goal oriented women in the sport succeed. I think that's great. Like I said, it was just a joke. Anyhow, hun, hope to see you soon -
First Christmas together: How much do you spend on gifts?

Is your Wingloading within the WNE Chart?

By the same logic, i'm sure there were others that were below or at recommended w/l and weren't able to vote. But, I guess we're not considering them. If you read the incident reports, it is not uncommon to see student deaths or low # deaths under student or similar gear. So, I really don't think you have grounds to say that the add'l votes of the dead skydivers would have been mostly on high w/l. -A -

I don't understand what you mean, Angela, my friend. A few of us from the west decided to go to Vegas for a fun weekend. We are also going to Skydive Mesquite for a day. We figured that we may as well do fun jumps, such as PM initiations. Personally, I have not had the pleasure of initiating too many ladies since I broke my ankle shortly after becoming a delegate, yet I get so many enthusistic PMs and e-mails sent to me from ladies who want me to initiate them. What's so wrong about us using the Mesquite trip as a time to help out the ladies that want to become a part of the Pink Mafia? Anyway, Angela, it's all about camaraderie and mutual love of the sky. Nobody is forcing you to be a part of this group, girlie. It's not like we're the Stepford Wives! Furthermore, I'm your friend because I like YOU, not because you are or are not a member of the Pink Mafia. The same goes for all the other friends that I have. Many of them just happen to be PM sisters. I thought I was funny Guess i'll stay outta this thread now. -A -

Oh, poor you, my deepest sympathies Too bad you can't make it, but shit, i'm jealous, i'd much rather be going to Europe!! -A -
If sex is all you want, undoubtably that would apply. If you want an actual woman, rather than a gold-digger, you'd need to work on that attitude toward women -A

I might stand behind the causes I believe in, but I do stand behind the presidency of the United States. Our peaceful succession for the last 200+ years is to a fair degree what has kept us stable and reasonably internally peaceful all that time -- there is legitimacy in the position itself. That I disagree with the current President on quite a bit doesn't affect that. He is not the presidency, he is simply it current inhabitant. Wendy W. How do you define internally peaceful? Does that simply say no civil war? I think that there is a good amount of uneasiness amongst our own citizens due to the war in Iraq/ poor decisions made by the current administration. I refuse to "stand behind" those who make poor choices that endanger the lives of our citizens without good reason, and who attack other nations under an operation to make them the same as us (Operation Iraqi (forced) Freedom?, or Operation Get Some Oil? Or, is it Operation retrieve non-existant WMDs?). That would make me just as bad as they are. -A

I think it's funny that most of the people who replied here are sponsered jumpers. I think that most non-sponsered jumpers would agree with you, Dave. It is nice to be able to recognize someone that has other interests in mind when giving advice. Does that mean we should throw what they say out the window? Of course not, they are very knowledgable and obviously have experience with the product. But, it is doubtful that the sponsered jumpers will tell you of faults in the product they are sponsering.... whereas Joe-who-jumps-a-paid-for-product will probably give his honest opinion on every aspect of the rig/canopy/etc... good or bad. I *think* I can usually tell when someone has other interests when they recommend things to me, but for the sake of the newer jumpers, marking might be a good thing (at least within their profile.) -A
