Stupid things the support gets to hear. A friend of mine is working for an ISP on their support team. Today a customer called her and said: “Last week I was told by one of your colleagues that if I only restarted my computer I would be able to see what network I belong to. Don’t get me wrong I found it all interesting but I wonder if this “anti shake” thingie can be used for OIS based cameras to enhance the video while editing. I’m not sure regarding this so please step in and correct me if I’m wrong on this. But the explanation I have got when asking around among my fellow skydivers it just don’t matter if you have SkyHook or a standard RSL, the danger of entanglement will always be there BEFORE the RSL/SkyHook is put to the use. I bought the L&B Viso glove. It may not be an optimal placement for i.e. head down flying but I always know where it sits. No I'm not really advocating a Samurai for someone with 300 jumps. I just missed to put the "" after that sentence, my bad However regarding the turbulence. I jump at a DZ where we always have a certain amount of turbulence since we have a lot of forest surrounding the DZ and also a couple of peat bogs that creates a lot of thermals. So for us turbulent are a common thing, and that's why I recommend an air locked canopy. I get scared shitless when someone’s canopy collapses. When it comes to a cut away (hasn’t had one YET) I don't think that I give a shit (initially) what happens to my main as long as I get back on the ground in one piece after a malfunction. Some time ago (read 6 months ago) I was a very good boy doing my exercises at the gym at least 2-3 times a week, both some cardio and weight lifting. By that time I was nagging a colleague of mine that he also should tag along, I guess I was kind of a PITA for him back then. Eventually he joined me at the gym but after some time I contracted one bad cold after another so I didn’t go to the gym for a while. Right about now some of you are thinking “been there done that” and of course I lost momentum completely and haven’t been down there until today…. Man was that exhausting or what??? WTF do I take there “training breaks” for?? I almost made myself barf today… To be honest the main reason for going is that my colleague is now a PITA to me, constantly nagging me about being a bit “soft around the waist”, asking me if I have been at the gym, asking me if I want to join him in his tempo at the gym and so on…. I agree completely. Kids are often way worse than dogs at the DZ. Unless the dog is a small yapping thing, but that's an "owner problem". Just like out of control kids, lack of parenting dicipline.
