Do you wear your helmet during take off and landing?

Wear my helmet till 1000. I see people who don't always wear them though. I think one of the major concerns is that despite DZs having paid coach jumps available I would have to imagine that they are highly under used. I know that after all the money I shelled out going through AFF and getting my 5 required coach warp jumps done, I was sure glad to not have to pay coach rates again. I don't think that a lot of students have the money to pay $80 or whatever it is for a coach jump after they are just done with AFF, or after they just get thier A. I know that I sure didn't. They took quite a long time to get back to me with my B lic stuff. I think that was because they were backed up from all the people sending in applications right at the end of september. 1289:4:2 1289 is the combined total of 860 miles driven and 429 pictures taken (digital cameras are so nice). Was up with indyz and dumpster at Skydive Wissota, great group of people up there. Only got to make 4 jumps over the weekend because a family event got in the way of saturday. Beer is owed for first formation load and I guess one more for a new dz. uhhh, who only jumps for half the year??? screw that, put on yo' woolies, a little chapstick and off ya go!! Was nice and cold this weekend, didn't have gloves on for one jump, was brisk but tolerable (about 40-50ish on the ground) Winter is no excuse to stop jumping, just means its cold. Glad to hear that you have had another succesfull jump! I had one jump while I was on aff that I wasn't sure if I was gonna pass while I was walking back in. My forward movement was poor at first, but it was good enough to pass and I did much better on the next jump anyways. Your stories are a cool read! I have seen people get seriously hurt doing this. And that was on an old ragged-out Pegasus(porosity so bad you could read a paper through it from several fet away.) with two blown endcells. If your 265 has an porosity left in it, you will be lucky if you are jsut critically injured. -Blind For how much I agree that the potential is there to get seriously injured. I think there is also some potential to not get injured. I am not about to go encouraging it, but with some caution I don't think he is going to get killed. Its not much different than getting dragged on a windy day, and that happens every now and then too. Hmm, I still live at home becuse I'm a broke skydiving college student... I did what anyone would do... Grab a friend and go, not telling anyone that might try to talk me out of it. I say get some rope and attach that to the risers once you get it connected make sure you have video Tie yourself FIRMLY on the ground... Carry the rig on, bring all the relative paperwork that you can find, including the TSA letter, a letter from the airline if you can get one and your cypress card. The "i don't know why the hell im doing this i don't care that it will be ok in freefall and I don't know why i'm getting on this plane why oh why" (rambling for emphasis) went away at about 11-14 jumps.
