My cousins puppy had and beat parvo when they first got her. So I know that dogs can beat this. Good luck!

this one ? http://www.msnbc.com/news/891508.asp

It probably started from college students where 2 students would share 1 room. and have a common bathroom etc. and then it just became a blanket word for anyone sharing a living space with someone else.

Back to the DZ issue, cant you claim lost wages on your taxes? like say you were supposed to make $2500 on the weekend with Tandems/AFF etc but since the Prez stopped by and prevented that income could it be considered a loss? Sorry just trying to help find a solution.

Heh I wanted the TM to do some spirals or something but I was in more pain than anything. He had me grab the toggles but I was hurting too much to turn. *I was 6'2" 250-260lbs and wearing a tight jumpsuit. My chest strap was loose b/c I put it on myself and the TM didn't check it. So when we opend the canopy started to open and I had a short time until the canopy snapped the chest strap onto my chest which left bruises for a week. basically like a hard opening.

I think that only this forum "Talk Back" has some racial/belief/ viewpoints. But after lurking on most of the other forums there is almost Never any sort of biasing towards one race or group.

Should the elderly be required to take yearly driving test?
JeffD replied to AggieDave's topic in The Bonfire
I live, and Ride a motorcycle here in Florida and have had many run ins with elderly. 1) Making a left turn at an intersection across 2 lanes of traffic. I was timing it so I would go behind the car and got across one lane of traffic and the car STOPPED!! so it stuck me standing in the middle of traffic as this little old lady was doing 3mph over the curb. 2)Heading 45mph down a two way road and an elderly man turned from an off street onto my lane of travel and started doing 20mph, I had to swerve around him (legal pass) otherwise I would have fit into his trunk And chuteless (I dont know you and from what you say I would not be afraid to share the road with you) but if you say "what would they do, hang me?" no but they could take away most of your property/money/ and prevent it from getting to your heirs. -
Well I would go to the DEALER of your car and find estimates because they are higher. So if its a chevy go to a chevy dealer and get all your estimates. and they want three so go to the chevy dealer close to you, the chevy dealer 10miles north of you and the chevy dealer 20miles east of you. Dealers always charge top $$ for repair.

Heck just try to find all 29 ways. Pretty interesting but a hint is counting going left to right as 1 and right to left as 1.

Yeah Im looking seeing if I can adapt something for forward flightish (not FreeFall) like a wingsuit but with more surface area to get away from the 17:1 WL ratio. Thanks for the input!! now I just have to get through school.

I think I miscommunicated. I dont mean to sew a layer inside the already existing canopy but basically stacking 2 canopys on top of each other. but having the bottom layer of the top canopy be the top layer of the bottom canopy. I tried to edit a photo to show what I mean.
-
Just curious if anyone knows the effects on how many layers there are. For example right now most canopys are basically like boxes, what would happen if another box were put on top, giving you 3 layers of fabric facing the ground instead of 2. I am not concerned with opening or packing, just if there would be more lift. Thanks.

Well hopefully if I can get the school to give me information on what happend I would like to start it up again. Do you have any information on what it was or why it stopped? Thanks.

Highside no wait lowside, ahh crap I forgot.

(University of South Florida) Has anyone heard about it? I have gone through some e-mail contacts but cant get any information. (I'm moving there in a month) Also if my friend and I were to start the club back up do DZ's give any discounts or anything to clubs? I am guessing they would have been around Z-hills, or Skydive Tampa bay. Thanks.

Not sure but It appears to me that there is 100lbs of fuel left in the right tank. that should be enough to land from 13.5k. But I'd be more worried that both engines are maxed out.

Ok well after watching some of Good Stuff by J.Jennings I was watching the part where the plane does some Crazy stuff (looked like a split S) so the skydiver would be falling next to the plane in the video. But I was curious if anyone had thought about getting the plane to be at a high rate of climb on exit, so the skydiver would be traveling up on exit then just float for a second until gravity takes over and then it would be like a balloon jump. of course this would only work out of a drop back door aircraft like a skyvan. Like get a load and have the skyvan go vertical, while all the skydivers slide out the back (but they are still traveling up).

Heh were in the same boat with Motorcycles. Too many Squids buying bikes that are wayyy to big. For example going from an excort to an indy car. Anyway after reading through alot of this I like the British system for motorcycles, and think it could be adapted for wingloadings. The way they do it for MC's is a restricted license for I think 2 years then an unrestricted license. So I was thinking maybe like a Restricted A license to where you coulden't go above a 1:1 loading (or whatever is deemed appropriate by some testing) for say 250 jumps or whatever a standard could be found (with some field testing) and then after that they are free to choose. It woulden't be too restrictive and many jumpers already over 250 should be smart enough not to go to a 2:1 loading unless they are ready. Also by making people stick with larger mains then the market for larger mains would be attractive because say Johnny gets a large main and container until he hits 250 then he is going to sell it to someone (another student) who is then going to use it till he gets to 250 and sell it to another student. So this will make the sport a little more affordable for those just starting out and not wanting to spend $2000 on a canopy, could just get it used for $1500 or $1000 or cheaper. Also this woulden't make the people that are already flying High loadings upset because I am assuming they would be over 250 jumps. Anyway that it is done is going to require some testing with students to see how long the average person takes to get up to using a high loading (assuming they want to) and then just let it go. Yes there will be those people who buy a 1.75:1 loading right after they get it but at least they will have a better chance/more knowledge, and hopefully friends that will point them in a better direction.

I mean like more fabric, alot more. To the point where its like you are wearing a chute, not just webbing. I am imagining like taking a regular canopy, cutting it in half stacking it on the flyers back. That kind of surface area. not 1" ribs going through the webbing.

Hello, well I am not a skydiver YET! I have done one Tandem and soon getting some tunnel time. Anyway I have read just about everything I can and got interested in the wingsuit being able to slow the freefall down to ~70mph but has anyone thought about doubling the fabric? like how the parachutes have 2 layers (top bottom of the cells). has that ever been done with wingsuits, could it be done? I know the big concern is being able to get the main chute out without any problems. But what if there was a way to "release" the wings or something to let the air get the PC inflated. Thanks.
