I never said anything about FURTHER bans. I was simply reflecting on checks and balances.... balance. Same goes for both sides. I wouldn't expect gun owners to sit down and just "take it either". That is a silly example. There are a lot more drivers than gun toting cowboys. But no! I do not find the level of auto fatalities acceptable. And I am MADD! I do something about it. All these issues you bring up in comparison are valid. But they also have concerned folks speaking out. Do you realize that the push and pull on any issue is necessary to keep things in balance. I don't necessarily want to take "your" gun away, but I do want to keep "you" in check. There are exretemes on both sides of each fence. So if one side stops pushing, the fence will fall over. Some folks call me middle of the road. That might be perceived as wishy washy. But if I beleive in anything, I believe in balance. I want the option to own a gun if I feel I need one. (I have lived in the country where we had to carry a gun to keep the coyotes away from our animals.) But I have no problem REASONABLE limitations. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! We chose to offer our child a blessing. It was non-denominational. We expressed our wishes to bring our child up to the best of our abilities both physically and morally. We also expressed our wishes for who would care for her in the unlikely event of our death or incapacitation. Everyone seemed happy with this arrangement. Luckily for me my Step Father was a Father. Ex Catholic Priest. He offered a blessing that perfectly expressed our wishes for our beautiful new baby. Thank you for the serious answer. This definately gives me enough to work with! Last year he got me a Christmas Cactus. It flowers once a year. It should flower around our aniversary. So let's see if I didn't fuck it up! I'm usually really bad with plants. But I have managed to keep it mostly alive so far! Gravity Gear!
