Jerry took care of me like a big brother when I was a baby skydiver. Did some CRW back in the day.... learned to take better care of my Van if I was gonna be living in it and driving it all over the damned place. The store at Bay Area Skydiving is now called Sky Supply and it is owned and opperated by Aaron Steele who used to work for me. Great guy. I'm down in San Diego full time now and loving it. If you have a small or smaller head, I like the fit of the Z1. But I have been able to fit a lot of head shapes well with the Mamba by Bonehead. The interchangable lining is helpfull. Hmmm. This thread is interesting so far. When I take consignment gear into my store, I consider a few factors. Original cost of the equipment. Fair market value of the same equipment, perceived value and of course good old supply and demand. I would likely be able to turn this system for $4750. Is it worth more? Yes. Will it sell for more? Maybe. I have found that most folks shopping for used gear are willing to spend between $3500 and $4500 for good modern sport equipment. Once it starts getting higher than that, they prefer a custom built container and possibly a combination of new and used components. Everyone at Skydive San Diego is all good. So far the DZ is still standing and looking good. All employees are out and being housed at safe locations. And if anyone cares, ya'lls gear is safe too.
