Conservatives, do you feel like you're "winning"?
headoverheels replied to skinnay's topic in Speakers Corner
http://maristpoll.marist.edu/816-trump-at-lowest-point-with-35-job-approval-rating-crack-at-the-base/ The table in the link is interesting. It shows that, on many promises, the supporters and hard R's are in denial about the total lack of performance, especially on things that are not black/white on page 1 of the news. They obviously (mostly) get that Trump is failing on the repeal of Obamacare, and winning on appointing conservative judges, but can 84% really think that he is winning on bringing back manufacturing jobs to the US? Can anyone at all really think that he is "picking the best people to run government"? -
This evening's tv news is saying a 'good possibility' of rain for the entirety of western Oregon on Eclipse Day. Jerry Baumchen They are lying, to try to keep the Californians away. Looks like mostly sunny, according to the way out prediction I see.

I'm also in San Jose, and considering going up, staying with friends in Bend. When I was on the Oregon coast in April, a shop owner told me that everywhere around was already booked out.

Down goes the vote. Everyone in the Senate should be embarrassed that they even voted on such a half-assed piece of legislation, no matter what their views on the policy are.

That's a lot of people coming out to check out what happened to the people in that car! Kind of looks like a zombie attack, doesn't it? That looks way creepy. -
You could check out Mono Lake. Just south of Bridgeport, Travertine Hot Springs is a nice soak with a great view.

American Psychoanalytic Association defies the "Goldwater Rule"

Some truth to that, in that Fannin County, Georgia has "only" 13.9% of its residents on SNAP, and Fulton has 18.3%. Georgia as a whole, about 17.2%. Santa Clara County, where I live in California, has 5.7% of its residents on SNAP, vs 11.4% for California state. -
Not for long. Took my mom about 2 months from diagnosis to death.

It is not 22 million, it is an additional 22 million. Last year, under AHA, there were about 28 million uninsured. Pre-AHA, it was 48 million.

Short version: This latest fool spammed every forum with his rants in new threads. Then he started going through the forums resurrecting ancient threads with his rants. So, no fun, after all? Well, it was fun seeing some of the ancient threads, with posts from users that have moved on, or passed on, whom I hadn't thought about for quite a while.

As quoted, there are two different ways to interpret that statement. He could be saying that he didn't conduct official business from personal accounts. He could also be saying that he didn't conduct personal business from his official account. More info needed.

Reported to not be on the car cam, because of being on the side of the car. Any idea whether cop cars have surround video these days?

I don't think that Hastert would be interested in that type of position. He likes more of a hands-on relationship with the students.

Yes, It's very typical of fundamentalist men to see women as evil seductresses. You and yours have that in common with Islamists. Religion is often used in this way.] It that what he meant? I thought that he meant that the women made him clean house while they napped.
