  1. Gotta be honest with you, Dude... Look at bullet item #5. Not voting is more culturally acceptable than the you voted for who?!?!? What the fuck did you throw your vote away for??!??! Don't you remember the Ross Perot Election?!?!?!? Go get ya some tea. I got this. And you are influenced by what is "culturally acceptable." I find that somewhat amazing.
  2. The statement about the lawyer I am seeing is "Cohen claimed he used his “personal funds” to “facilitate” the payment and was not reimbursed by the Trump campaign or the Trump Organization." It also says "Cohen refused to say if he was reimbursed by Trump personally" He also declined
  3. My ex-wife put quite a few tropical fish, given to her by a friend whose tank sprung a leak, down the garbage disposer. Maybe the quick ones got though the blades.
  4. Maybe complete with a nuclear bomb drop.
  5. Yep, when my wife was in grad school on the east coast, she would bring her parakeet back and forth on visits to the Bay Area in a small cardboard box. If it started fussing, she just stuck her finger in the box for it to sit on, and it would quiet down.
  6. That's not going to last very long, if you are not a business. Aren't there provisions to jack up the individual taxes if the deficit grows too much? I expected the tax cuts, and such provisions, were a ploy to cut Medicare/Social Security for lack of funds.
  7. What are you talking about? Did you even read the "memo"? Don't be too tough on Ron. Nunes didn't ever read the FISA applications before writing his memo, and the POTUS doesn't seem to read anything longer than a tweet.
  8. Some Brit said "Hell is empty ... all the devils are here."
  9. Had it been a trading day, it would have made for an interesting stock market.
  10. You are disgusting. I walk another 30 feet, and piss off of my retaining wall.
  11. I'm assuming that they were finding more Republican voter fraud than Democratic, which is why they not only disbanded, but are trying to refuse to release the data.
  12. And you have experience in the mental health field? Perhaps as a patient?
  13. Probably an Amazon Flex participant: https://flex.amazon.com/about
  14. Wait, I'm confused. Amazon uses USPS, UPS, Fed Ex and OnTrac as delivery services. Amazon does not do it's own shipping. Is this correct? Here in San Jose, Amazon also has their own delivery. The week before Christmas, I even got a delivery from someone driving a gray Ford Taurus -- I think they hire this type of "extra" from the peak season. The online tracking was cute -- it showed a "sleigh" icon on a moving map, and was real time enough that I walked outside as it showed the sleigh turning onto my street, and she arrived a few seconds later.
  15. They do in my area. Amazon also uses OnTrack as a delivery service in the west. OnTrack likes to report packages delivered, when they have not been. Then they typically deliver them the next day. The first time it happened, I was checking with neighbors, looking behind bushes, etc. Now, after about 4 times, I figure that they are reporting it delivered so that Amazon will pay them full rate, and that it will show up the next day. Not as bad as the delivery service that left $14k worth of prescription drugs on the curb without even ringing the door bell, rather than obtaining the required signature and handing it over in person.
  16. I haven't jumped in the past 4.5 years, because of shoulder problems. I expect that I would get some sort of refund on unused tickets, if I asked for one, but the tickets were purchased as part of a 50-ticket block, so I don't know what would happen. The DZO varies between being usually generous and occasionally tight, so it is hard to tell. I feel that I have gotten such good service and (relatively) cheap jumps at this DZ for the past decades, that I really wouldn't bother to ask for a refund. I probably have 25 or so unused tickets. I did get tickets refunded when Pope Valley closed nearly 40 years ago.
  17. The world's leading expert on Vespula germanica walks into a record shop. He asks the assistant “Do you have European Vespidae Acoustics Volume 2? I believe it was released this week and is said to be the best recording of European wasps ever collected!” “Certainly,” replies the assistant. “Would you like to listen before you buy it?” "That would be wonderful," says the expert, and puts on a pair of headphones. He listens for a few moments and says to the assistant, “I'm terribly sorry, but I am the world's leading expert on European wasps and this is not accurate at all. I don't recognize any of those sounds. Are you sure this is the correct recording?” The assistant checks the turntable, and confirms that it is indeed the correct recording, European Vespidae Acoustics Volume 2. "Let's try the next track," the assistant says, and moves the needle. Again the expert listens for a moment and then says to the assistant, "No, this just can't be right! I've been an expert in this field for 43 years and I still don't recognize any of these sounds." The assistant apologizes again and lifts the needle to the next track. The expert throws off the headphones as soon as it starts playing and is fuming with rage. "This is outrageous false advertising! No specimen of Vespula germanica or any wasp that I know of has ever made a sound like the ones on this record!" The manager of the shop overhears the commotion and walks over. "What seems to be the problem, sir?" "This is an outrage! I'm the world's leading expert on European wasps. Nobody knows more about them than I do. There is simply no way that the sounds on that record were made by European wasps!" The manager glances down and notices the problem instantly. "I'm terribly sorry, sir. It appears we've been playing you the bee side."
  18. I cannot say anything about tunnel power vs weights, but I am pretty much your height and weight. I wore anywhere from 6 to 12 pounds to do fourway in freefall (or in the tunnel), depending on the other flyers.
  19. His promise to get rid of the carried interest b.s. was a lie, as was his promise (in the form of proposed brackets) to get rid of the marriage penalty.
  20. Like the presidential election, which was largely about voting against Hillary rather than voting for Trump , I think this election was more about voting against Moore that was voting for Jones . Moore really was a despicable candidate. Praise the Lord, and to hell with the blasphemer.
