    Hey, John, you should have seen the 3D animations of the 372-way dive -- build, break-off, etc., that were used to brief the group before the first jump. Could be stopped at any point, and the POV rotated, raised, lowered. Totally impressive. The animation built a bit more symmetrically than the real dive!

    I don't see how they just barely break even at most DZ's. I see that at my home DZ, since video is only $35 for tandems, but don't see that if they are charging $75.

    Wait at least a month, until everything flows through, just to make sure you really don't get billed again. Then, try one more time to fix it. Start by telling them that this is the last time you are going to try. It may be cheaper for them to let it go than to spend the time sorting it out.

    I've been offered a new job. It is really a pretty interesting position, which will require me to both knock the rust off and learn some new things. First offer was too low (I'm making 27% more now), but I'm pretty sure they will bring that up to par. The main drag is the commute, which will be 48 miles each way, through bay area traffic. Can be done off peak in a bit over an hour, but I would count on an average of 1:15 each way. So, nearly two hours per day driving, in addition to the half hour or so it takes me now, in the context of a startup company. Anyone out there have a long commute and don't care? Alternatively, is it taking years off of your life?

    JP did Just don't be using that mantis on big ways, out on a loop somewhere. It's not good for those docking on you, having to fish for your wrist, rather than having out in their face. When the tension gets high, you won't be able to maintain the position, and the transition can add to problems.

    Sure, they were around before I started. We used to call them AOD's, and they were calibrated/set before each jump.     I sure hope you guys get some snow before I come visit at the end of February. Out here at Kirkwood, we have a base of over 185", and I still found some rocks to hit.
