  1. I dont know why, call it wierd intuition, but I am with Keith on this one. Something is very weird about this...it just has a 'creepy oompa loompa vibe.' I am filing this along with Jon Benet Ramsey. I would probably take the money. But I am more curious to know what really happened. I would say the parents not free of fault, but like I said just weird intuition. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. I also posted this as a new thread. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,80955,00.html Hilarious. I find this hysterically ironic. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. This is hilarious! Anyone still blindly trying to insinuate that the Iraqis are just trying to protect their citizens? Just illustrates the attitude once again. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,80955,00.html -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. I dont necessarily agree with it, but I hardly see how it is a 'no answer' question similiar to the Iraqis hiding drones. Personally, I would not want to be harassed all the time benig asked about my dad in the Contra affair. Or maybe he just did it for his dad. Everyone here was so supportive of the mother who entered the US illegally to help here daughter. Does the same extend to someone helping a father live his last decade peacefully? I am not intending to say I agree, because have no research on this subject. I am just thinking out loud. Either way, I dont think it applies anything to the Iraqi drones. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  5. Well I see your point. But I think this question has an answer. As for GB's records I have no idea, have not really read about it. But I think quite a few administration in the last 50 years have done that. There might be a legitimate reason or not. I am not a big proponent of the theory that the public needs to know everything. There are records within the last 10 years that might still be sensitive. Or maybe he is doing it for dad. I don't know. I am much more likely to suspect the Iraqs of hiding weapons, it just seems to be a pattern. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

    Gutted

Yeah, hang in there man, storms just clear the way for calm. We are all facing some bumps right now. I am on the other end of the spectrum, came out of school with intense motivation. But someone with 10 years experience is will to work for my salary, so why hire me? The IT market is not great. One can only hope it will rebound soon. I am staying in as long as I can so I will be 'in line' before those that got out (sorry Merrick ) It is hard enough staying current in the field. Getting out and then getting back in would never work for me. So hang in there man. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  8. I actually agree with you. So why hide them? They are inducing their own suspicion. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  9. Good deal, lgad to see it worked. You could probably reinstall AIM and it would be okay. But I think you will like Trillian better. On a side note, watch for these scams guys. I dont know if that is what the Rev saw or not. But I work in IT for a living, and got an email the other day that I was 95% sure was legit. SMTP headers were right, etc, etc. But that 5% made me do an NSLOOKUP on the IP and it was a dial up account in Europe somewhere. Point is, these guys are getting pretty good. And although Ebay, AIM, etc will never ask for your CC # over a messaging client. At times you do have to enter it on the web for Ebay. So be absolutely positive you are on their domain. An email to find out never hurts. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  10. New Drone Shown http://www.nytimes.com/2003/03/13/international/middleeast/13DRON.html?ex=1048136400&en=e7900e97add97ced&ei=5062&partner=GOOGLE Just my opinion, but this looks like a total case of showing the earliest prototype. Furthermore, although the New York Times refers to it as "more like something out of the Rube Goldberg museum of aeronautical design than anything that could threaten Iraq's foes" I know several RC enthusiasts that would be pretty impressed. You don't have to be that high tech to distribute agents. As a matter of fact, I would bet it could be done with amatuer model rocket payloads. Anyway, read the article and form your own opinion. But...anyway you cut it is just another think that inadvertantly, accidentally, due to 'type-o' and miscommunication was not relayed to the UN. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  14. Well I cannot visit the Trillian site here at work. But in all my experience anything you can do with the original client you can do with Trillian. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. Andrea it rulez! You can set it up anyway you want. Login into all and/or any network seperately. Organize contacts by network or groups. For instance in my 'Friflaj' contact group, I have peopl efrom AIM and MSN. It is very cool. Give it a shot. Plus they guarantee total freeware with no spyware. Although in this case, you still have to have a functioning account. Rev, I would have to look closer. That page might be legit, but whatever sends you to it, or another page you visited in the past might not be. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  18. Yeah, sounds like a virus. Download Trillian. It lets you use all the messaging systems. http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ Watch scams like that. I got one from ebay the other day that was very close to convincing. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  19. Thanks, I am researching him now. Was he in The Right Stuff? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. Agreed, he is escalating with every move. We are simply covering our ass right now. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  21. Yeah Space Cowboys was pretty decent, I thought. You watch movies for many different movies. I love movies that leave you brain dead (Donnie Darko, Mulholland Drive, Memento) but I also like 'fun' movies and stupid movies. Space Cowboys was a fun movie, and did not take itself too seriously like Armageddon and Deep Impact (should be a porn title) which are more unrealistic. Now...The Right Stuff.....The Right Stuff was a MOVIE! Everytime I watch it, it makes me long for the glory years, test pilots who had 'the touch,' the pride surrounding that era. "Hey scotty, you got any Beeman's?"
  22. Well said. I will reference yet again the line toward the end of Blackhawk Down... You probably know the one. Most people will never understand. Once again peace to our fallen protectors...blue skies! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  23. This was a thread about death and sympathy and you have to go off on how military is nothing special. Just rude man. edited for personal attack. Don't do it when you say you know better! ~skymama -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
