  1. Enjoy working with it? Ummm... /crickets Nope, I have not even attempted it. Honestly, it seems like Bluetooth: nothing, nothing, nothing, all os sudden it catches on. For right now I have no professional reason to, and too little time to torture myself for fun. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. Holy Grail of course, and yes you are right, how did I miss that. That and Blazing Saddles, and Spaceballs. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. Miller's Crossing was great! Dark funny stuff. I really dig the coen bros, and anything with John Turturro in in it. I think Miller's Crossing might be the least known Coen Bros. film. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. I think it is a guy thing. We can hold whole conversations with nothing but quotes. I figure someone got paid to write those lines, how can I top that. No idea on that quote, but the favs between me and friends are: Office Space Austin Powers Zoolander Pirates of the Carib. Top Gun/Apoc. Now/Full Metal Jacket Old School Van Wilder Half Baked Boondock Saints That might be most of them. Some girls do kinda dig though. Gets a lot of laughs with freefly girls anyway. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  5. Yeah, I saw that. I HATE predictive input. Not sure if that was to get around the lawsuit or what. Last I heard they had to stop making them. Which kind of blows, because one of our products uses RIM modems, and we are trying to find a new supplier now. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  6. I have no more room in my pants Can you imagine ever getting caught taking it out....wow, yeah, I think you just got kicked out. That would be really embarassing. Kinda like that 'social anxiety' drug with a sideeffect of explosive diahrea. Yeah that wont make you anxious. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  7. I will say, that short of College Station, the UTA barfly crowd is pretty cute. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  8. Actually I am not sure what you mean by exchange server. We run a POP3/SMTP setup at work (no MS exchange) and have field people with Blackberrys. If you meant your may provider has to support POP3, then yeah maybe so. But yahoo, hotmail, etc all do that now anyway. The IM/Text this kinda cool. I just dont want to care a phone and another gadget. In addition to this like Ivan said, I just had a buddy crinkle the hod on his BMW from using his blackberry at a red light and inching under the aggiedave-esque hitch in front of him. Kinda cool, but i dont see why 'everyday people' are that driven to stay connected. I get tired of it. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  9. Not sure what Arlington has to do with it. Unless you mean that we house the knock off tu. Which is even worse actually, all these tools walking around in burnt orange head to toe, and have never even been to a game for their 'alma madre' However, I did not go to school in Arlington, I went to an TAMU system school (goat roper though it was) and therefore, we call the school in Austin by its proper name which is t.u. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  10. Yeah, you bring your tea, sipper. Dave and I will be there with everclear. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  12. What the crap is this shit? Everyone knows that you root for OU! Why? because they are playing tu. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  14. Actually my neck and back pop quite a bit these days. Interestingly, it never started until I started jumping. Not sure what that says. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. Practical named variable make a very large difference. I think even more so than documentation, because you have an easier time following them through calls, returns, etc. I usually commented if it was particularly different. The average stuff should be obvious. Now funny comments are a different story. The linux kernel is loaded with them; cannot seem to find a good link right now. I used to add stuff referring to why it should never be needed. I like naming variables obnoxiously as well, like IdiotEntryCnt, etc Link to silicon art mentioned [url]http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/creatures/index.html[url] -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  16. Just remember Slappie, not matter what anyone tells you, Mr. Rogers was right: You are my friend You are special You are my friend You're special to me. You are the only one like you. Like you, my friend, I like you. In the daytime In the nighttime Any time that you feel's the right time For a friendship with me, you see F-R-I-E-N-D special You are my friend You're special to me. There's only one in this wonderful world You are special. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  18. Yeah, well maybe, so but can you kick my ass... -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  19. Slappie, what a crappy thread man. First class ticket please.... -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. I have nothing intelligent to add, I left years ago, when it was a constant flamewar (see sig). But I do like this picture -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  21. Dude, I love it, I might just quote that. I would not date a stripper, mostly because I am boring and could not keep up. But I love the corporate America analogy, so true. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  22. Thanks, I totally respect your views and agree with some of them. This is a spawn thread, from another thread I started, which I declared upfront to be totally gratuitous and the result of boredom and red wine. It was a much satire on our seemingly insatiable apptetite for breasts as anything else. Somone started a thread questioning the idea that my thread was 'a standard' and I felt obliged to weigh in on the topic. The real commentary about feminity/standards could really be more of a speakers corner thing. My closing comment would be this: I am quite conservative, you can scan my old posts if you really want, but I suspect there is much better uses of time. I have never dated anyone like those pictures. I just very pleasingly got a date for this weekend, and she is not in any of those pictures. I admire women, sometimes foolishly and sometimes superficially, and am honest enough to admit it. I may never have a Shelby GT500, and I may never have (in fact would rather not have) a 'supermodel/bunny' wife, but might glance at either. As for your direct comments: I am not sure how you isolate the 'adults' most views are formative LONG before 18. I would guess adult that have bought in now, felt drawn that direction long ago. Eye candy vs. intellect? We want both, in fact we want a lot more. I also want a plane, 5 skydiving rigs, the new ferrari 430, and 3 harleys in the garage. The question is what is really worth persuing? What truly has value. That is the distinction between the eye candy and the rest. I still don't see how that is a lie. Unless perhaps you know men that insist the only like one thing, in which case I cannot speak for them, but that is not me. You even make the comment about your husband that he looks. We can in fact consider multiple options and choose value. I will with some risk assume most skydiving guys are enlightened enough to not choose purely superficial value. Of course who would have thought that viewing some pin up pics on a casual forum would be considered choosing. With respect, peace out. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  23. Well you make a good point, I would say my perception is that there are a lot less, we seem to give in pretty quick to a nice smile and a soft word. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  24. The people buying into it are the crew sitting at home watching tv right now, I would bet it does not include most skydivers. You want to ask some questions, ask them of the mothers that encourage 14 year old 'mini-mes'. As them of the teachers that feel elementray kids should be treated in all ways like adults. I will heavily agree with you that there is a serious underlying problem: selling sex to everyone on the planet and the being surprised that someone under 18 bought it. However, I really doubt, a few skydivers joking about breasts and the perfection there in created that culture. This is no different than girls looking at unattainable guys. Now perhaps what you idolize in them is different, but that is a difference of the sexes. Am I supposed to generalize that all women are liars because they say they want an intellectual guy and then drool over Vin Deisel? Human nature wants what it does not have. If you are in a relationship with an strictly intellectual guy, the bad boy type might cross your mind occasionally. Not because of any inherent value, but simply the attraction of the unknown or unattainable. I tried to articulate that earlier, that the fact that we will never know more about these girls then their physical feature makes it a safe attraction. We will never get feedback from a physical image, which is what both makes them a eye candy, and a real woman desirable. I don't see how that is a lie. Editted to add: re the real boobies thread: It is a side effect of said culture that most women who feel led to make a living showing flesh have implants these days. This is unfortunate, as people have grown this "They are big, the must be fake" attitude. I know from personal dating, that is absolutely false. SO....if I had a lot of 'real' breast pics I would post them. Actually I am sure that at least some of those posted were. But...it is simple supply and demand that the internet has brought me 'fake' boobs. If you can find a lot of 'real' women with 'real' breasts who want to share them, I am sure would be every bit as happy looking at them. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
