I can't say that I like it when... a) I get to the DZ and the Otter is taxi'ing out to the runway, it is not doing a back-to-back, and my friends are on the load, b) my future is uncertain, c) and the sunset is before 7:00! -
Sounds GREAT! Here is the best regular Chocolate Chip Recipe... It's actually listed on the same site as freeflydrew's. The recipe, believe it or not, comes out of the Kitchen-Aid recipe book that comes with the mixer: http://recipe-chocolate.com/00/003933.shtml Title: Chocolate Chip Cookies (Kitchenaid) ** Yield: 30 Servings Ingredients 1 c sugar 1 c brown sugar 1 c softened butter 2 ea eggs 1 1/2 ts vanilla 3 c flour 1 ts salt 1 ts baking soda 12 oz chocolate chips Instructions PLACE SUGARS, BUTTER, EGGS AND VANILLA IN MIXER BOWL. BLEND FOR 2 MINUTES. SIFT FLOUR, SALT AND BAKING SODA TOGETHER. ADD TO BUTTER MIXTURE AND MIX ON SPEED 2 FOR 30 SECONDS. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS BY HAND. DROP ON BAKING SHEETS BY SPOONFULS. BAKE AT 350 DEG F. FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES. COOL ON BAKING SHEET FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE. REMOVE TO WIRE RACK TO FINISH COOLING.

Kinda stressed lately with work and all. I was driving along in my car today thinking about some little stuff that aggrevates me. I wanted to start a thread that was called, "I HATE IT WHEN...", but it sounds nasty. Instead, I'm calling it... "I CAN'T SAY THAT I LIKE IT WHEN..." 1) My rig is in the back seat and the chest buckle raddles 2) My pay check that is coming to me tomorrow is already used on skydiving today 3) ... Try to keep it skydiving oriented because it is this the General Skydive Discussion forum. But if you think that you have a good one that is worth posting anyway, give it a shot. -

Could someone type this in IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet)? In other words, How do you pronounce "Atmonauti"? Is it, "At-Mah-Naw-Tee" ??? I've done it before but never had a name for the angle like that. Relative work is more challenging in mostly because of burbles. Head-level fall rate is super important. Those vids don't do the moves justice because they make it look sooooo easy. As for slowing your vertical fallrate down, hmmmm? Between tracking and the atmonauti, it would really depend on a persons body shape/positioning/weight. Technically, in the "atmonauti", you are presenting less surface area to the relative wind. Unless your legs are arched behind the flyer, so that they are more flat (which would create a wing shape of the human body), there would be additional lift that would slow fall-rate. Perhaps I'll organize one at the halloween boogie...

The other day, I was in B&H Photo in NYC. I was talking to the salesperson about setting up a camera helmet and what it would take. After finding out that it was for skydiving, he said, "That's scary......and crazy." Agitated for just one second, something more empathic came out of my mouth. I said, "If I am one of the smart ones I should be scared. If not, then YES, I'm crazy." The dude just looked at me like a deer in headlights.... with the locks and all. LOL BWahahahahah.

Crosskeys is pretty good during winter if you can take the freeze. At your jump number, you should definitely keep up the frequent jumping over the winter months. Perhaps I will see you there. _DC

We, as skydivers, should be more diligent about where our videos end up. I'd sure like to have a talk with the dude who sent that video in. SHHEEEEEEEESh! I'd also like to find out if he had anything to do with telling REAL-TV that the COA represented the fear in this kids face. DOUBLE SHEEEEEEEEEESH!!!!!

In my opinion, it's a distinct difference between falling and flying. At a higher level, being capable of flying in a 3D environment (as opposed to 2D with flatflying) adds magic to a human being's enjoyment in the air. Manipulating relative wind head down allows flyers to co-exist on a 3-dimensional playing field. It's more difficult, dangerous, and shorter air-time, but the rewards are exponential.

Kramer, This is a blessing in disguise so... SOME WORDS OF ADVISE: 1) I must agree with the rest, it's about 50/50. Learn to use this to your advantage. 2) The right girls will think its cool. The rest are obviously self-restricting and overly opinionated. 3) If you date only the chicks that are on "the cool 50%" side, you'll have a much better ratio of meeting them and some starter lines to work with. 4) Never exagerate your skydiving experiences. The truth will be enough to overload them. 5) If they say that they would never "try it"; that's terrific as long as they are cool with you jumping. 5a. Also, in this scenario, you won't have to spend the next few years of your life giving coach jumps to your sigificant other for free (and miss out on all the big-ways). LOL HEHEHEHEHEHEHEH

The people who have the footage may not be at liberty to share or just post on the net. A lot of the video was done by Craig Amrine (Eloy) and Bobby Page (Orange). You may want to try contacting one of them to see if they are putting any formal vids together. Let us know if they're doing anything interesting.
