    Really dude! Don't sweat it. Considering this place is for a bunch of skydivers, the forum does have its sensitive side. There is a clear difference between a public forum and your DZ. As I have found, even if you didn't post anything offensive you can still be held accountable for responding to offensive behavior. No worries.

    Pants work just fine when your learning - in fact, they are quite comfortable and easy to manage while doing multiple jumps. Just get a nice baggy, long-sleave, sweatshirt (or heavy t-shirt and you should be all set.

    You keep doing this part and you are 50% there! She'll let you keep jumping 4-ever. Keep up the great work. The other 50% is your gear checks, but you've also got that covered too. Best of luck and congrats. Wish I could do a first solo again.... I'd buy beer and everything.

    Z-Hills 1997: While approaching some "industrial haze" in freefall, I fell through a RAINBOW sitting just on the top. The rainbow wasn't shaped like a half-moon, rather, like a circle - and I went directly through the middle of it on my belly. I only had like 50 (or so) jumps at the time. I saw the rainbow and had to suck it a bit low to make it below its altitude. At the time, 2500ft was pretty scary.

    Hey Coldduck! I didn't mean to leave out Jason ("FRUITCAKE") either. He volunteered his time to get us plenty of footage also. I wish that I could help you guys out by donating my copy; but those guys really deserve credit where credit is due. I truly was hoping that someone would put together a formal editing of PH. If you happen to find one, definitely let us know - I'd be the first to buy one! Best of luck!!!

    Flaring, hooking, swooping, etc., etc. It's all about timing, timing, timing. A decent head wind provides a larger margin of error with regard to timing the flare. Canopy time provides the experience to dial in the moment of stabbing the breaks. A good rule of thumb is about 5-seconds before spanking.

    Almost impossible to prepare someone for subtle disappointment. Something inside me moved - but I'm not sure if it was a chuckle or lunch.

    Chianti imported from Florence, Italy. Rooster on the label. A good Shiraz runs a close second. As for the California wines... Either a 96' or nothing. The preservatives in US wines are enough to make me get depressed.

    Alcohol is way over-rated. But it's legal. There are reasonable alternatives to the dizzy feelings, puking, hangovers, risking getting sick, and other things.
