Do you really think your vote counts? The powers that be in this world talk to a few people and economies crash, people die etc, etc. Wake up. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

Why does the American election process take so F***ing long?

Hope that's sarcasm. If not it's the biggest joke of the day. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. -
It's so easy to get out of it isn't funny. Sheesh I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

So a black powder muzzle loader and a .50 machine gun are the same? I don't think so. Me thinks you are twisting his words. And to get a license for a full auto you need a FFL and a extreme background check goes w/ it. I say ban commercials PERIOD. if I want something I can find it w/o an ad. I just mute em and go do something else for a few mins. Whatever happened when pay tv came out to "no more annoying ads"? Edit to add: why I RARLEY watch the boob tube anymore. Drivel and ads. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

What about newbies forced to downwind land because the elitist got down first and set the pattern? And got hurt? I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

But we do it entirely for a rich person's sport (over $20 a minute is way beyond even phone sex) instead of getting to important business meetings or loved ones who live far away. While cutting our fuel consumption in half through punitive taxes wouldn't do a thing for the environment, it would "send a message" to the "average American" Politics is all about "Sending messages" 20 bucks a min. Talking about a wind tunnel right. Unless you're taking a rocket to altitude. And add the freefall and canopy ride. WAY more than a min. Correct. It sounds contradictory, but it's not - the situations are different. A CHL gun in a holster is not being handled, and thus is in very little danger of being accidentally discharged. Someone walking up to a firing line at a gun range with a loaded gun, is ready and expecting to shoot that gun. This is most dangerous during a cease-fire when people are downrange checking and posting targets. If someone walks up and lays a loaded gun on a bench, while people are downrange - that's pointing a loaded gun at people. That's why ranges have rules against uncasing guns while people are downrange during a cease fire. The same reason why guns are removed from the line and there is no handling of firearms during a cease fire. It's just bad for safety. I've personally seen someone walk up with an M1A (M14) while a kid was downrange changing targets. The rifle had a magazine inserted, safety off and bolt closed. That was bad enough - you couldn't tell if it was loaded, but it might have been. But then to make matters worse, he laid it on a bench, barrel pointed downrange where the kid was, and started fiddling with it. At that point I stepped in myself and had him point the barrel upward, make the gun safe by opening the bolt, removing the magazine, and engaging the safety, then putting the rifle in the rack behind the firing line. Yes, this was a public range, and you sometimes see this kind of ignorance there. But you have to speak up, or something bad can happen. Bringing loaded guns to the firing line, where lots of other people are around, maybe even downrange, is a bad idea. Load them only when you're actually ready to shoot, when the cease fire has ended, and the all-clear given. Sounds like you'd make a good range officer. My range is mostley private. Lots of cops. Nobody bothers anybody unless you're doing something stupid which I've never seen. So again. What the fuck good is a gun in a safe if someone breaks in your house in the middle of the nite. "Dear. Someone's in the house. OK dear. Let me wake and find the keys/combo to the safe" Then again I sleep w/ a gun and a knife w/in arms reach. And mine's(pistol) always hot I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

You need to change you your name to bird DICK. Ya think maybe he didn't want to sit for and hr. burning fuel at a NAZI checkpoint? Wow. Someone needs some time to cool his jets... Jets are cooled. These are the people that some folks feel should be the only ones who have the right to own guns. I'm sorry you folks had these bad experiences with cops. I, myself, have never had other than relatively respectful treatment by them. I think that although a reason wasn't given to Rastaricanair for being pulled over, you stated it in your post: you turned around rather than go through a DUI checkpoint. That makes you look, to them, like you're under the influence and trying to not get nailed for it. I think it's shitty in the extreme that they were such assholes to you, and even worse that they stole your property after implying that a Swiss Army Knife was a big ol' nasty "weapon." (They'd love my waved Spyderco Endura, then!) I am sorry, I have no legal advice to offer you, except perhaps to go down to the local police station in that area and attempt to make a complaint. Also, don't drive around in a condition where you feel it's prudent to turn around to avoid a checkpoint--that makes you a marked man. You need to change you your name to bird DICK. Ya think maybe he didn't want to sit for and hr. burning fuel at a NAZI checkpoint? I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

Damn. I wish I could have been there w/ them. (the protesters) But I'm on the NO FLY list for some reason (AND THEY WON'T TELL ME WHY) and the PRICE OF A GALLON OF GAS STOPS ME FROM DRIVING THERE. I wonder why they are protesting? I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

Why is this substandard way of speaking becoming more prevalent?
akarunway replied to birdlike's topic in Speakers Corner
Wrongness is a cultural attribute, huh? What a thing to be proud of. I can't wait until countries start putting representations of their failure to get a man into space on their flags, now, too. Beat me to it. And. Unless you're in a 7 11 type store where all the Arabs don't list prices I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. -
I believe he said "Lasermax," not "night scope"... He already said that he reported the theft. Why don't we cut him some slack. He did admit to what he did, and he did say he'll correct his mis-approach to securing his guns in the future. Why don't we give him that chance? I, too, think it was foolish to leave a gun in the car for any significant length of time. But even law enforcement officers do stupid shit like this from time to time. I've also read about them leaving guns on top of their cars and driving off, losing them! So. that makes it OK because he's LEO. He needs to lose his badge. IMHO And. I won't go there I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

No. It's an incredibly stupid thing to say. Thus my telling you up-thread, "...your baiting notwithstanding." If you wish to use your new screenname, as you did with the old one, as a vehicle to be anti-social and abusive toward others, that's up to HH and the Mods to decide whether to tolerate. But I'm not going to be your enabler. You just did. I can't believe you are a lawyer arer are you just baiting back? I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

It's funny how they still manage to want to come here: to live, to get an education, to sightsee, to get medical care, etc. We're such barbarians! I guess everyone loves a barbarian. Look, Arnold Schwartzenegger is governor of one of our largest states! But what was in my "previous post" that was so barbaric?? Did you mean "posts"? Not for long I hope. Lieing motherfucker fucking the citizens of Ca. I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

I have witnessed the exact same thing. In fact, much to my disgust and distress, the last time I witnessed this was in downtown West Palm Beach, on Independence Day, as two firefighters rappelled down the face of a high-rise condo, unfurling the American flag as loudspeakers played our National Anthem. People were standing around, conversing, walking with their strollers pushing their kids who will no doubt grow up as ignorant as they are because look who they'll be learning from. I stood where I was, on a line for a hot pretzel, and put my hand over my heart until the anthem was over and the flag was unfurled. I didn't see a single other motherfucker do the same in my vicinity. I'll bet that the next oldest person to do so (I'm 36) was probably in his sixties, if any did at all. Damnit Jim. "More SHEEP" I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
